Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an inside machinist at the journeyman or specialized level that can, not only operate CNC and manual Lathes and Mill machines but can set up the machine from start to finish. After a 3-week training period and safety courses, the inside machinist will be assigned to a specific machine (Manual Lathes, Manual Mill, CNC Lathes or CNC Mill) and will be giving a specific project. The project could last a few hours or a few weeks depending on what item they are assigned to. They could be working with material that is 2 feet long or 10 feet long. Most of the material they will be working with will be stainless steel with a little bit of aluminum and copper. Onsite there will be a CNC programmer so the inside machinist will need to have knowledge of G&M codes but does not need to have the programming knowledge. Once they finish one project, they will move on to the next project.

Understand the process to square material up correctly

The Role

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts)
No felony convictions for Theft/Deception or Violent Crimes within 7 years
No felony Drug convictions within 3 years
Willing to undergo a background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance
Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for 8-10 hours
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment with varying temperatures and loud machinery
Frequent handling of tools, components, and metal parts
