Rate $19-$20/hr Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review job work instructions/tickets and set up the lamination machine properly for the job, including adhesive type, quantity to run, number of copies, proper raw material, adhesive location, coat weight, material orientation, bond strength, and more. Operate the machine to convert raw material and printed material to laminated rolls by following operating procedures. What you'll do: Operate and set up a variety of manual machines including mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other shop equipment. Perform high-precision machining operations on different metals using existing jigs and fixtures. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to produce or modify components. Develop or adapt tooling, jigs, and fixtures as needed for complex or one-off jobs. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to tolerances as tight as 0.0002”. Apply appropriate setup methods, establish machining datums, and determine the correct order of operations. Follow all tool control policies and safety procedures, including proper maintenance and storage of equipment. Compensate for material or environmental conditions (e.g., temperature) during critical machining work. What skills you'll use: Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manual machining. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical orders. Under general supervision, develops, writes, and edits programs that direct automated machine tools to cut and shape precision metal parts, tools, and products.
