The Clinical Call Center Specialist helps us meet our goal of successfully managing the comprehensive care of all of our patients. Your role is to help us deliver that type of care for our patients. You will manage inbound and outbound calls by scheduling appointments, resolving patient issues when possible, and communicating patient needs and requests to the care teams in the clinics.
Responsibilities:
Centrally receive inbound calls from multiple clinics, and make outbound calls on behalf of clinics
Update patient information and manage information in our electronic medical records system
Schedule appointments for patients with their Oak Street provider
Manage patient referrals by obtaining authorizations and faxing requested information to specialists
Perform service recovery, address patient concerns, and de-escalate callers when needed
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Work closely with care team members to provide the highest level of customer service and act as an extension of the clinics
Partner with colleagues to reach and maintain call center target metrics to ensure delivery of a positive patient experience
Skills Required:

Psychological Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of cognitive, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral functioning using a range of standardized tests.

The Specialty Nutrition Systems, Short-Term Feeding Account Consultant, is responsible for the positioning and selling of AVANOS Enteral Feeding related products within assigned facilities/departments. Specifically, CORTRAK nasogastric tubes and CORGRIP nasal secure devices in the Acute Care settings. Responsibilities include all technical (features, functions, benefits) and conceptual sales aspects of the CORTRAK and CORGRIP product portfolios including, but not limited to, the validation of AVANOS' cost/value proposition.
The CORTRAK (SOC) Account Specialist will work in conjunction with the Enteral Feeding Account Consultants and Region Sales Managers, to achieve Standard of Care (SOC) in every account, by leading the entire sales process from conception to execution to drive disposable/capital sales. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

* Perform high-complexity laboratory testing using established methodologies, including molecular HLA typing, flow-cytometry, genetic analysis, HLA antibody screening (if applicable), ABO typing, and infectious disease testing
* Serve as section lead, providing oversight and guidance for designated laboratory areas
* Serve as the final reviewer to sign off clinical cases in all aspects of testing including technical, quality, billing, etc., as designated by laboratory management
* Document test results and all pertinent information; interpret different and complex reaction patterns; identify probable causes for any irregular or atypical test results
* Responsible for compiling and preparing section quality assurance reports
* Serve as lead on process improvement initiatives
* Accurately communicate results to internal and external customers including clinicians, transplant coordinators, and other OPO personnel
* Accurately enter, retrieve, and transmit test data into laboratory information systems
* Assist laboratory staff in testing procedures, quality controls and standard operating protocols.
* Provide instruction and guidance to new employees in testing procedures, quality controls and standard operating protocols
* Perform laboratory employee competency assessment, as required
* Provide laboratory employee support, direction and management, as requested by laboratory management
* Assist with personnel management as designated, including but not limited to, one-on-one meetings, performance evaluation, coaching, and disciplinary actions
* Assist with development, validation and implementation of new and/or revised procedures and protocols
* Preserve donor cells and serum samples for potential future testing, if needed
* Process blood samples received from patients waiting for a transplant
* Prepare reagents required to perform analysis and ensure reagents are available and usable
* Set up and monitor equipment required to perform tests
* Maintain established preventive maintenance schedules for assigned equipment
* Perform minor equipment repairs such as adjustments and calibration of equipment
* Maintain quality control records and logs; prepare, record and store data for future reference
* Monitor supply levels to ensure adequate levels are maintained
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of work area in accordance with safety standards
* Serve as on-call off-hours technical consultant for laboratory employees
* Work with laboratory leadership to develop, plan, implement, monitor and assess the laboratory quality assurance and performance improvement programs
* Identify non-conformances and deficiencies and manage the corrective action process
* Promote the culture of quality assurance and performance improvement throughout the laboratory
* Work with laboratory leadership to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory agencies, such as CMS/CLIA, FDA, UNOS, ASHI, and CAP
* Responsible for determining, tracking, trending and reporting of relevant quality metrics, including, but not limited to, turnaround times, error rates, customer satisfaction score, etc.
* Assist laboratory leadership with preparation for all internal and external audits and inspections; assist with follow-up as needed, including responses and corrective actions

Qualifications
Education and Training Required

* Bachelor's degree in one of the biological, chemical or medical sciences
* Certification as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS) issued by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI), or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire or promotion

The Donation & Family Advocate position is a full-time, 40-hour, on-call position. This role requires the employee to be available on nights, weekends and holidays (as agreed upon by the department and the supervisor) to meet organizational needs and ensure proper coverage.
The primary function of the Donation & Family Advocate is to present the donation option to families, answer questions and inspire them to say yes to donation in a manner that supports Gift of Hope's mission.

There are four areas of responsibility for a Donation & Family Advocate: Referral On-sites, Approaches/Authorization, Family Support and Hospital Development.

* Approaches/Authorization
* Collaborate with hospital and healthcare team to provide potential donor families with accurate and timely information regarding the patient's clinical course
* Maintain communication with hospital staff and attending physician regarding the potential donor family's understanding of the prognosis and act as a family advocate to the healthcare team as necessary
* Communicate with the attending physician and other members of the healthcare team to establish rapport and ensure a collaborative planned approach for the donation discussion and authorization process
* Determine family's level of understanding with prognosis and what needs they may have in order to make appropriate decisions about organ/tissue donation in collaboration with Family Resource
* Compassionately advocate for donation by providing information about the benefits of donation
* Offer donation to family in an empowering and inspiring manner. Educate potential donor's next-of-kin about donation options, status of donor designation, or request authorization for donation
* Properly utilize forms or documents needed to capture donation authorization decision
* Family Support
* Provide patient, respectful and compassionate care for donor families
* Provide donor families appropriate clinical support before and throughout the donation process
* Provide donor families timely follow-up information regarding outcome throughout the case and post-op, in collaboration with Donor Family Services department
* Hospital Development
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with hospital staff
* Provide education to involved healthcare team while involved in referrals, where needed
* Conduct rounding in hospital units when assigned
* Attend internal and external hospital debriefs
* Provide education to hospital staff regarding authorization, family care, and the donation process
