Job Description The Maintenance Tech III is responsible for preventative maintenance, monitoring systems and procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for the Skilled Nursing / Assisted Living community. Advise and assist with operating within budgetary guidelines. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Knowledgeable in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and testing of various electrical controllers, boilers, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment, lighting and low voltage systems. Conduct daily, monthly, yearly room and building rounds. Perform general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall coverings, floor coverings, and some furniture and fixtures; plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repair. Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed or needed. Perform established routine preventative maintenance, as directed or needed. Perform minor building and equipment repairs. Perform landscaping and maintenance inspection throughout and other quality control items for compliance with local, state, federal and safety regulations. Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition. Maintain the operation of emergency medical and power generating equipment. Maintain the fire and life safety equipment in the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living community. Schedule and participate in Maintenance quarterly and annual fire and disaster drills and in-service meetings. Prepare and implement plans of correction as needed. Responsible for supply procurement in relation to plant operation of health center. May perform other related duties as delegated by the Director of Plant Operations. Trains, evaluates and supports plant personnel when required. Advises and consults with the Plant Operations Director/Manager along with the Administrator of repairs needed concerning structure, equipment and grounds. Preventative maintenance and inspection of bio-medical equipment according to manufacturer requirements. Assigned one week of on-call duty as scheduled. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Meet response time parameters for repair priority types, including ensuring that higher priority or compliance work is completed first. Compliance with state and federal regulations and service standards that are required. Under supervision, performs radiation dosimetry calculations and computerized data analysis. Under supervision, performs equipment surveys including State of California, American College of Radiology (ACR) and Joint Commission required testing of diagnostic modalities such as radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, CT, ultrasound, MRI and nuclear medicine equipment. Support clinical medical physics of diagnostic imaging modalities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assist with clinical support as well as health system staff training and education. Assist with administrative efforts with regards to inspections and regulations. Fulfill duties as assigned, including proper and complete documentation of clinical projects and clinical rotations. Basic Qualifications: Experience N/A Education M.S. or Ph.D. in medical physics, physics, engineering or a closely related discipline. License, Certification, Registration N/A Additional Requirements: Candidates must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
