Responsibilities
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy (RPT) credentialed from the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
Additional Preferences
Acute care experience preferred (clinical or student experience).
Emergency department, critical care units, and/or vestibular experience preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy services. Any direct patient care provided will be performed as defined by the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an occupational therapy program with either a Baccalaureate or Master's Degree accredited by the American Occupational Therapy
Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy
Licensed Occupational Therapist with current and unencumbered license to practice in the state of employment.
Two years of clinical experience as an occupational
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization
Possess and maintain valid CPR Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.

As a key member of our care team, you will focus on restoring mobility, enhancing functional abilities, and supporting long-term wellness. Your work will involve promoting health, preventing disability, and delivering hands-on interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs. Provide skilled services to homebound clients who qualify for Medicare coverage.

Requirements:
Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas (required)

How you'll contribute
Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills. Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.

State Licensure for Occupational Therapy
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
