OhioGuidestone is seeking to fill full-time Behavioral Health Specialist positions to help our multicultural clients navigate a diverse range of mental and behavioral health needs. Candidates must have, at minimum, a high school diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience. Watch what it means to be a Behavior Health Specialist Essential Functions: * Monitor client symptoms as well as response to treatment; communicate changes with treatment team to ensure immediate and appropriate interventions * Develop and maintain a service relationship with client, family, and caregivers to provide them support as appropriate. * Coordinate community resources including school, referral sources and outpatient behavioral health providers to ensure continuity of care; acts as an advocate for the client as needed. * Provide crisis intervention consultation in times of emergencies for coordination and assistance in crisis management and stabilization as needed. * Facilitate appointments to ensure overall physical well-being including basic, mental health and substance use needs. * Review Diagnostic Evaluation and additional assessments, to aid in the ongoing development and implementation of a client's individualized treatment plan (ITP). * Attend and participate in agency/ team/clinical meetings, including mandatory trainings, and treatment coordination. * Perform related administrative responsibilities; maintain client information, reports, records, and other documents; respond timely to emails and phone calls; attend and participate in various trainings and meetings; communicate with other agencies, departments, and vendors regarding required paperwork, contract compliance and consult with other county agencies and/or supportive services as necessary. * Accurately and promptly, document and maintain the confidentiality of client and family interactions including, legal, financial, and clinical documentation within agency guidelines. * Meet with Supervisor for weekly supervision. * Maintain ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals, parents or outside agency professionals assigned to case. * Promote an inclusive work environment and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. * Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. * Therapeutic Behavioral Service (TBS) service activities include, but are not limited to the following: (a) Consultation with a licensed practitioner or an eligible provider, to assist with the individual's needs and service planning for individualized supports or care coordination of healthcare, behavioral healthcare, and non-healthcare services and development of a treatment plan; (b) Referral and linkage to other healthcare, behavioral healthcare, and non-healthcare services to avoid more restrictive levels of treatment; (c) Interventions using evidence-based techniques; (d) Identification of strategies or treatment options; (e) Restoration of social skills and daily functioning; and, (f) Crisis prevention and amelioration. Our domestic violence shelter provides emergency, safe shelter and supportive services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Education and case management services are also provided on an outpatient basis. A 24-hour hotline is available for victims to access the shelter and other resources. Essential Functions: Leads a team of financial analysts. Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the annual financial planning process and reforecasting process. OhioGuidestone staff work with in tandem with placing agencies and caregivers to transition youth back into permanent living situations. The Youth Residential Cottage Manager provides supervision, leadership, cottage safety and oversight of our Residential Treatment Programs and staff. At Discovery Recovery clients will have access to peer support and an on-site house manager, the goal of Discovery Recovery is to help women become stable in their recovery. The goal of the recovery house is to provide residents with guidance on how to maintain stable sober housing and how to live in a communal setting while providing crisis intervention and medication as necessary. Full time hours- Monday through Thursday 3:30p-11p and Friday 11p-9am Duties/Responsibilities: Develops and maintains a peer/coach relationship with residents. Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation per Agency standards, including client case notes, and inspects forms to ensure accuracy. Professionally answers incoming calls to the house on the business line, and conveys messages to staff, and clients, or forwards to the appropriate department. Supervises clients, and assists in the care and environmental services of the home. Acts as a team player to ensure staff coverage for the home is maintained. Promotes the efficient and effective use of Agency resources, including both labor and consumable supplies. Complies with and supports others in complying with the Policies and Procedures of OhioGuidestone. Observes all rules of confidentiality as they relate to client information both internally and in dealing with outside individuals and/or agencies. Acts as a knowledgeable resource on topics such as client rights and the procedures governing them. Utilizes empathic and active listening skills to provide emotional support to residents. Provides linkage and referral services to residents when needed, assists in teaching needed skills related to activities of daily living, and advocates for residents as needed. Handles crisis situations in a calm, quick, and efficient manner. When necessary, calls the House Manager, emergency services, or the appropriate authorities as the situation demands. Promotes positive staff/client interactions through role modeling and teaching. Creates a welcoming and calming atmosphere, and exhibits excellent role model skills to effectively resolve conflict. Regularly administers urine drug screens on clients Maintains appropriate professional and personal boundaries with staff and clients. Responsible for transporting clients when needed to appointments or treatment meetings using a personal vehicle. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes. Exhibits positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. Demonstrates positive leadership, promotes an inclusive work environment and presents the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. POSITION SUMMARY Our Outpatient Therapists make a difference in the lives of the children and families in need, working with the disadvantaged, at risk and undeserved. As the Outpatient Therapist, you will provide office based clinical services for children ages 3-18 with issues such as disruptive behaviors, ADHD, parent-child relationship problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, school-related issues and bullying. Our therapists also provide services to adults up to age 24 with depression, anxiety, life transition difficulties, etc. and pregnant or new moms experiencing stress/depression. Services include individual therapy, family systems interventions and care coordination. We offer flexible day and evening hours as well as the ability to schedule your own cases, choose how many cases you wish to see and manage your own caseload with the support of an on-site supervisor. As the Outpatient Therapist, you will also receive all required supervision hours toward independent licensure for free. This is a part-time position with a schedule of 15-28 hours/week. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Provide individual therapy, parent guidance and family interventions to assigned clients and families. Gather clinical information in the initial mental health assessment interview and during ongoing treatment contacts. Identify client needs for additional services and refers them appropriately. Collaborate with the client and family and develop focused, measurable and achievable service plans that reflect the individual needs of the client.
