The Help Group is seeking a high energy, attention to detail, well organized full-time Work Experience Specialist to cover the Sherman Oaks area! Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and most comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children and adults with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

This program offers an enriched curriculum that also includes vocational assessments, career awareness and exploration, pre-employment skills training and work experiences to adults with disabilities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• B.A. degree, CBEST, and experience in special education, vocational rehabilitation, psychology or related field desired.
• Experience and ability to work well with high school students. or young adults, with special needs to autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and/or emotional/behavioral challenges
• Ability to collaborate with school personnel and coordinate, develop and oversee elements of the Workability and We Can Work programs
• Ability to develop paid and unpaid jobs off campus with community employers.
• Must be able to work Monday- Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM.
• Ability to attend meetings in the Sherman Oaks office as needed

EXCITING RESPONSIBILITIE

• Provide coordination and oversight of elements of the Workability 1 and We Can Work programs
• Work collaboratively with school principals, teachers and the Vocational Director, to ensure that the Workability 1 and We Can Work programs are designed and meet the goal and expectations of the funders.
• Ensure that all necessary Workability 1 and We Can Work documentation, data collection, records, data entry files, and reports are proper, timely, and in compliance with program requirements

As a Metal Working Specialist at Caterpillar Inc., you will set up and operate metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses and CNC laser cutters to manufacturing components and sub-assemblies.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:**

+ Perform operations, including multiple die setups

+ Brake presses to form angles or radii

+ Operate bending machines to perform bending on stainless steel

+ Performs various operations on sheet metal parts such as marking from templates, shearing, forming, etc

+ Cut parts using CNC Laser Cutter by downloading cut lists

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 6 months of prior machine operation experience

+ Intermediate level of blueprint reading proficiency

**Top Candidates May Also Have:**

+ 6 months of Hydraulic Press Operating Experience

+ 6 months of CNC Laser Cutting Experience

**Additional Information:**

**Job Responsibilities**

Monitors customer service queues on a daily basis to ensure key performance metrics are achieved. Daily management of scheduling procedures, analysis of real time workload requirements, and call routing to achieve service levels. Create, run, and distribute reports to leadership as needed to assist in decision making. Communicate with center managers regarding staffing limitations/expectations and current/future business needs.

+ Daily management of scheduling software/agent schedules and provide updates to team when issues are discovered

+ Monitor call volume and daily performance of scheduling calls daily and report areas of deviation.

+ Create and distribute reports to leadership team on key performance initiatives meeting time deadlines.

+ Communicate and meet with operations leaders on daily basis to plan for future staffing needs.

**Position Requirements**

+ Minimum of 2 years of work experience utilizing applicable computer software systems.

+ Ability to utilize cloud based technology/programs such as Calabrio, Finesse, and Ring Central.

+ Basic understanding of forecasting, scheduling and staffing of call centers.

+ High level of proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

+ Adept at identifying patterns/trends in data. Ability to handle/react quickly to multiple projects/situations.

**Preferred**

2 years or more of experience working in call center operations and forecasting position.

The pay range for residents in Colorado is: $21.59-$30.19, this range is only for Colorado residents

The pay range for residents in NYC is: $28.06-$39.25, is range is only for NYC residents
