Serve as a leader and clinical resource for nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient care continuity, addressing any clinical, administrative, or operational issues. Ensure adequate staffing levels and make real-time adjustments based on patient needs and unit requirements. Monitor patient care activities, including assessing patients, reviewing care plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Respond to clinical emergencies, assess situations, and provide appropriate guidance, interventions, or escalate to higher levels of care as needed. Assist in staff development and orientation, providing mentorship and feedback to nursing staff regarding performance, policies, and best practices. Coordinate with department managers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth communication, patient flow, and resolution of issues. Address complaints, concerns, or inquiries from patients, families, and staff, ensuring a focus on patient-centered care. Ensure the facility is compliant with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including monitoring documentation and reporting any discrepancies. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports on operational activities, staff performance, and patient outcomes. Support and enforce infection control protocols and safety standards to prevent risks to patients and staff. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted. • Licensure: - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. • Certification: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
