EMTs respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls, while providing an appropriate level of care within the EMT scope of practice. This can include lifesaving treatments, monitoring vitals, checking O2 levels, and handling any situation that comes up. Duties and Responsibilities The main duties of an EMT at Life Ride include non-emergency transportation of patients to hospitals and other medical facilities, driving emergency vehicles safely, responsibly and quickly, and being responsible for patient care. Must wear and handle personal protective equipment and follow social distancing/CDC guidelines Must be capable of lifting 100-150 pounds. Must be capable of working up to 12 hour shifts.
