RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities involve validating equipment, understanding the interface and reactions of critical processes, and installing/ validating control systems Provides manufacturing engineering support and recommendations for direct projects in assigned areas
Defines and implements specific solutions to technical problems, completing the tasks associated with such projects and writing reports that clearly document the results
Writes and executes validation protocols and summary reports
Leads the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for existing and new products
Develops inspection plans for new and existing materials
Facilitates and drives quality remediation through partnerships with quality engineers
Supports or leads initiation, investigation, and closure of non-conformances and corrective and action preventative actions (CAPA)
Supports or leads projects to incorporate capital equipment for new manufacturing lines and upgrades to existing lines
Works cross functionally with teams for projects and initiatives including lean manufacturing, cost savings, added capacity, and new product launches
Operates within the company's quality system to produce documentation for standard operating procedures
Leads continuous improvement efforts by performing time studies, value stream analysis, flow analysis and other lean related tasks
Makes recommendations and implements changes in support of the whole operations team to achieve team goals in quality, cost, delivery, and safety

Product Engineer
The Product Engineer is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving assigned product lines throughout their lifecycle. Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as TeamCenter.
Strong understanding of steel fabrications, welded assemblies, and machining processes.

Product Engineer
The Product Engineer is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving assigned product lines throughout their lifecycle. This role serves as the technical lead for specific product models, ensuring they meet customer expectations for performance, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. You will work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, supply management, and field support teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance product quality and competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead for assigned product lines, ensuring that engineering intent and design integrity are maintained throughout the product's lifecycle.
Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and technical services teams to ensure smooth product launches, efficient manufacturing, and ongoing support for production and field issues.
Lead continuous product improvement (CPI) efforts by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing design changes that enhance product quality, durability, and performance.
Prepare, review, and release Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to document and communicate design updates, manufacturing changes, and product enhancements.
Work with other Product Engineers and system leads to develop and implement common solutions across related product lines, improving design consistency and manufacturing efficiency.
Perform and approve design calculations, simulations, or other analyses to confirm that components and assemblies meet safety, reliability, and functional requirements.
Lead cost reduction and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives focused on simplifying assemblies, optimizing materials, and improving production efficiency.
Engage directly with customers by visiting field sites and job locations to understand real-world product applications, collect performance data, and translate customer feedback into actionable design improvements.
Manage and mentor a team of design engineers, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing technical direction and professional development guidance.
Coordinate with remote and contract engineering resources to ensure deliverables meet quality and timing expectations.
Maintain product configuration and option lists to ensure accurate bill-of-material (BOM) structure and product documentation.
Promote and adhere to all company and industry safety standards, ensuring compliance with internal and external safety requirements in all design and validation activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering, design engineering, or a related technical role.
Experience with off-highway, mining, or heavy mobile equipment preferred.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as Siemens NX or MEDUSA.
Experience using Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as TeamCenter.
Strong understanding of steel fabrications, welded assemblies, and machining processes.
Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques for both bolted and welded components.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing or customer sites.

Physical Requirements:

Job Responsibilities
• Perform power system modeling and analysis using industry standard software (e.g. PSSE, TARA).

Provides guidance, assistance, and interpretation to others. Guidance relating largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Designs and evaluates engineering projects and activities with internal departments, outside consultants, and contractors on complex projects.
Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations, uses skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues, including the initiation and maintenance of extensive contacts with these parties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of science in engineering degree from an ABET accredited educational institution and eight (8) or more years of experience in the area of assigned engineering responsibility. Appropriate co-op time and/or an advanced degree in engineering, business or other relevant courses of study may substitute for up to one year of experience.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Valid State of Florida Professional Engineer license may be required.
Must meet the FBPE requirements as defined in Chapter 471 of the Florida Statute and obtain and maintain “Professional Engineer” Licensing as required by Water/Wastewater Engineering, Public Works, Energy Delivery and Principal Engineers assigned to the water/wastewater, and special projects areas of Strategic Planning.
Valid Florida Driver License required.
