The role of Senior Mechanical Engineering is to guide our Mechanical team and manage the design and delivery of small to large projects and to develop and maintain relations with current and future clients within our business line. You will represent project work in client meetings and be part of teams to cultivate relationships with client organizations. As a Senior Engineer you will focus on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems for engineering projects of a complex nature. You would provide leadership and training to more junior professional and technical staff and provide technical guidance to less experienced professionals or technicians assigned to work on a common project. * Teaming with design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
* Day-to-day team oversight and communication with the client and project team.
* Track project progress against proposed scope, fee, schedule, and budget, communicate with stakeholders, identify and offer options to mitigate risk.
* Coordinate and lead other disciplines on projects as needed.
* Evaluate engineered systems as part of project work.
* Manage project scope, budget, and schedule.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Strong understanding of the Science and Technology and Mechanical Discipline within the US Northeast and beyond.

* Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mechanical and/or plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.

Education and Experience
10+ years of related experience (Consulting preferred) relevant working experience in designing Mechanical and HVAC systems, with a minimum 5 years of project management experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
PMP certification, is desirable.
Broad general knowledge of various buildings designs, including a strong familiarity with multiple disciplines including, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineering as well as Architecture and Interior Design

Pay Range:
* Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 102,100.00 - Max Salary $ 153,200.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, installs, maintains and repairs various types of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and systems; performs maintenance, repairs and calibration on heating and air conditioning control devices company wide.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties as assigned)
Inspect and examine heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, air compressors, and all auxiliary equipment to locate defects in operations, disassembles unit and restore to operating condition.
Repair or replace condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts and other parts.
Ability to recycle and charge refrigerants as required. Inspect and test refrigeration systems, safety devices, and control for efficiency of operation and compliance with safety practice and regulations.

Cleans coils and other parts, oils fans, changes filter, adjusts air flow and replaces gas or fluid in system.
Observes operation sequence of refrigeration system and makes necessary adjustments to control level of fluid, pressure, or temperature in the system.
Determines parts and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work and submits job estimates; fabricates, erects, and maintains sheet metal duct work; tests, calibrates, and repairs thermostats.
May order parts and supplies as needed; perform related work on all related and auxiliary HVAC systems and components.

Pay Equity
At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $57,952 - $75,000.
