The Beam Hauler is responsible for transporting large beams between different departments warper to storage racks within the textile mill. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of materials, which supports uninterrupted production processes. The Beam Hauler will work closely with machine operators, warehouse staff, and quality control teams to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in good condition.
Shift: 2nd shift and 3rd shift (8hr M-F)
Key Responsibilities:
Transporting Beams:
Safely and efficiently haul fabric or yarn beams from storage areas to production machines and between departments as needed.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, beam trolleys, or manual carts.
Loading and Unloading:
Assist in loading and unloading beams onto and off of production machines or storage racks.
Ensure that beams are securely fastened during transport to prevent damage or accidents.
Inventory Management:
Keep accurate records of beams transported, including quantities, sizes, and destinations.
Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
Quality Control:
Inspect beams for any visible defects or damages before and after transport.
Report any issues to the appropriate department for further inspection or action.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and handling beams.
Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with production staff to understand material requirements and prioritize beam deliveries.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or logistics role, preferably in a textile mill, is an advantage.
Proficient in operating material handling equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs or more).

TRUCK REQUIREMENTS:
Tractor must meet DOT, Level 1 inspection, and Service Transport inspection.
Tractor must be 21,500 lbs. maximum with fuel, driver(s), and equipment included.
Fifth Wheel must be between 50 to 52 inches in height.
Tractor must be less than 13 feet in height, including exhaust stack(s).
Tractors must be equipped with collision mitigation systems.
Tractor must be ELD compliant.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
2- or 3-inch cast iron Pump (no aluminum) - b. Must be PTO driven or Hydraulic driven
Air Compressor System for unloading with minimum of ¾ inch, coalescing filter/dryer and pressure regulator or bypass set to 25 psi maximum output.
In transit heat with ½ to ¾ inch engine hot water supply and return lines plumbed to the back of the cab or sleeper and equip with ½ to ¾ inch full port ball valves at the outlet(s).
Fire Extinguisher of 10 BC or higher rated, mounted inside of cab or sleeper box on roadside of tractor. If Fire Extinguisher is mounted inside sleeper cargo door, there must be a “Fire Extinguisher Inside” sign near door.
Set of Reflectors per D.O.T. specifications permanently mounted in cab or sleeper box
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Drivers will be required to load, transport, and deliver hazardous chemicals in a tractor trailer tanker to customer while practicing safe service and offering superior service to our customers:
Dispatch first in first out (on-call status)
Wear all required PPE including capable of wearing respiratory protection devices.
No facial hair
E-logs (PeopleNet)
Hazardous and non-hazardous materials: driver's role (loading, unloading, in transit, trouble shooting, etc.)
Customer satisfaction: must be on time, pre-trip/post-trip, and service.
Reliable transportation, personal phone for immediate contact
Willing to follow company policies and procedures, including State and Federal laws and regulations.
Meet equipment safety requirements, including weight limits.
