PITCO FOODS SJO ORDER SELECTOR - FULL CASE PICK PITCO Foods is a large independent foodservice distributor in Northern California. Based in San Jose, CA, PITCO also has distribution centers in Brisbane, Oakland, and Sacramento. Pulls merchandise from stock for high-volume business delivery orders. Pulls and loads items onto the truck, and boxes small cooler and freezer items into milk crates. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Obtains pull sheet (list of number and location of items to pull for an order) from control desk. Lifts pallet from low stack and sets on floor. Observes safety and security procedures, such as, performing daily safety checklist for electric pallet jacks prior to use, checking manual pallet jacks and pallets and tagging any with defects, using proper lifting technique. QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds - working with barrels and industrial/agricultural tires Ability to work at heights of 25 feet while operating equipment and maintaining safety standards Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations and manufacturing guidelines Ability to pass forklift certification Willing to work overtime as needed Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures Ability to work in a team environment Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana) Salary Description 21.00
