    Job Summary: The Director of Merchandising will lead a collaborative process to develop Overtime's apparel growth strategy based on a detailed knowledge of our brand objectives, our consumers, and our positioning within the competitive marketplace. The role must critically evaluate and react to results and current trends, influencing the product creation pipeline and translating to future releases. They must possess strong leadership skills as they are ultimately responsible for driving cross-functional communication and motivating the team to be consumer-focused, innovative, and agile. The Director of Merchandising will have the opportunity to impact roadmaps as it relates to long-term growth strategies for Overtime's apparel business, making recommendations and leveraging a diverse dataset across departments, customers, and business results. What You'll Do: Align Overtime's product lines with annual growth objectives, actively reacting to shifts in performance at the category, collection, and SKU level Own the Merch Assortment Architecture to ensure the right product, right price, right time, and right place. Provide top down unit forecasting to inform volume expectations for new development tied back to revenue goals. Drive business with outside of the box thinking that connects the lines between financial patterns and market/consumer insights to identify growth opportunities. Demonstrate a holistic approach and champion cross-category alignment and partnership between Design, Product Development, Marketing and Planning partners Ensure price-value relationship is in line with market competitiveness and customer expectations Understand product trends and historical data in order to guide channel buy plans Accountable for sales, growth, and margin targets for the department, recognizing opportunities for incremental growth and risk management Partner cross functionally to determine product selection in order to maximize inventory investment and product availability Collaborate on brief-in process and actively participate in conceptual and design meetings to impact strategy and product direction. Influence product pipeline, delivering an assortment that correlates with the positioning of the brand, trend and opportunity. Drive bottoms up forecasting and buy plans across DTC E-commerce, Retail, and Wholesale. Effectively manage and quantify category opportunities through the execution and prioritization of lifecycle management inclusive of new product launches, launch testing, seasonal fashion, and product exit strategies Understand competitive environment; proactively seek market knowledge through exposure to aspirational retailers Understand the consumer, driving consumer-centricity in all aspects of the role Create a results-oriented culture of accountability and agility. Help develop, coach, mentor, and track team performance. Develop and lead the Merchandising team, encouraging collaboration, personal development, and excellence. Who You Are: Extensive apparel merchandising expertise required, e-commerce experience highly preferred Experience in brands focusing on Gen-Z/Gen-Alpha customer or streetwear highly preferred Successful track record for high volume business growth and bottom-line results Deep understanding of competition, target customer and the brand specific fashion trends Strong passion for trends, demonstrating an extreme curiosity and knowledge of the industry and customer Have an innovative, forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and identify white space within the athletic and streetwear space Possess strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills Ability to successfully identify, train, and develop merchandising talent Overtime expects the base salary for this role to be approximately $135-150K annually depending on the experience of the successful candidate, in addition to the offering of medical benefits, paid time off, and stock options in the company.
