Each roll is scanned as they are being unloaded from the truck and before they are placed in the warehouse. Ensure product is good quality and no damage as it is stored. Proper paper work must be maintained for all loading/unloading processes. Responsible for the unloading of Latex and Raw Glass trucks. Report any damage to the Shipping Manager immediately. LOADING The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, verify with driver the order number and/or destination. Use computer to pull the order/pick plan. Get the Tare Weight from Shipping Manager Load the rolls on cradles and/or blocking as needed. Maximize the shipping weight without exceeding the DOT maximum. Pick plans/ roll numbers are transferred to Shipping Manager for completion of BOL. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential Functions Statement(s) * Operate forklift in all warehouse & fabrication shop operations. * Perform preshift forklift safety inspections. * Observe forklift operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify supervisor of any malfunctions. * Pack orders & wrap, band or bundle for shipping; lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using forklift. * Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete; mark or tag identification on parts. * Load and unload items from machines, tables, shelves, racks & turntables. * Help machine operators & production workers by loading & unloading material onto machines tables & turntables. * Separate products according to weight, grade, size, and composition of materials used to produce them. * Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. * Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines. * Pack and store materials and products. * Tie products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures. * Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. * Prepare raw materials for processing. * Count raw materials & products to ensure inventory. * Load & unload trucks * Pack products and product parts during processing. * Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products. * Repack, relabel, stack, & prepare products for stocking or shipping. * Wear many hats and may be asked to assist with other areas in the shop/office/warehouse. * Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift. * Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience: Forklift operator Certificates & Licenses: Basic Forklift Safety Training Class Certificate Computer Skills: Ability to be trained to learn basic computer skills, as well as to become proficient in company specific software. Other Requirements: Proficient in English.
