Shift: Mid shift 3pm-11pm Sunday - Thursday. Payrate $24.31/HR. Responsible for unloading and loading product onto and from trailers when qualified and as needed in accordance with Preferred Work Methods (PWMs). Both functions require specific equipment and/or process certification. Requires working in freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures. Performs all duties safely, accurately and meets set productivity standards and goals
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Inspect inbound trailer for cleanliness prior to unloading. Communicate any unsanitary conditions to supervisor.
+ Communicate inbound load, product, or pallet issues to supervisor.
+ Unload inbound foodservice product, supplies or equipment from trailers or shipping containers onto the dock for receipt utilizing material handling equipment following established PWMs to avoid damage to equipment or product, and according to specified configurations for storage and shipment.
+ Reconfigure inbound pallets to meet RDC storage requirements (floor or slip sheet loads).
+ Verify refrigerated (cooler) and frozen product temperatures on inbound loads are taken according to established PWMs. Follow temperature abuse process and established PWMs if product temperature is out of accepted tolerance range.
+ Apply shrink wrap to all lumped pallets to ensure they are secured for effective delivery following established PWMs. Apply shrink wrap to other pallets as needed to secure product for storage and shipment.
+ Inspect and clean trailers prior to loading.
+ Inspect all (inbound and outbound) product being moved for shortages, damage, quality issues, or deterioration of packing and report to supervisor.
+ Load product onto trucks corresponding to truck mapping and to any special instructions; according to established PWMs to avoid damage to product or equipment and to maintain load stability and balance to ensure driver safety.
+ Hand load product onto trucks as required.
+ Control door lights to inform driver if they are clear to position trailer to the door or pull trailer from the door.
+ Must successfully complete the forklift certification process and testing and be able to perform the established PWMs.
+ Work effectively with immediate supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink/damage (product loss).
+ Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles, and the accuracy of warehouse locations.
+ Report any unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor.
+ Observe and enforce all safety rules to eliminate accidents and injuries.
+ Operate appropriate MHE, such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks in a safe and orderly manner to eliminate accidents and injuries.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor, this role will unload floor loaded containers of frozen raw material. Should be able to handle cases of raw materials weighing up to 50lbs.

In this role, you will pull orders for customers and load orders onto our company delivery trucks. You will perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.
Specific duties may include:
Following all applicable safety rules and procedures
Receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory
Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment
Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries
Maintaining all products in a quality and marketable condition
Keeping accurate inventory records
Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads
Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweight
Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material
Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned
Specific qualifications include:
Ability to be trained and licensed/certified by L&W Supply to operate forklift equipment
Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts
Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance
Previous warehouse experience is preferred
Knowledge in all applicable building material products is preferred

In addition, the Facilities Assistant is responsible for supporting production as directed by the Production Supervisors or Commercial Operations Managers. Friendship Industries, Inc. and Able Solutions, Inc. Facilities Assistants must show initiative, collaboration and determination when working on the production floor.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
Production
Read purchase orders and then select the correct materials from the staging area for the production lines.
Ensure that production lines do not have unnecessary down time due to waiting on movement of materials. (Both incoming goods and finished pallets)
Performs preventative maintenance tasks under the guidance / training if the Facilities Manager
Assist in the setting up of lines / moving equipment during production runs
Safety/Quality
Safely operate a powered lift
Demonstrate proper energy control when performing maintenance tasks / inspections

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
In this position, the employee will perform the more advanced general warehouse duties to include making adjustments in the computer system; operating machinery; processing; shrink-wrapping product; operating a stretch-wrapping machine, and performing short picker duties while meeting production requirements, following appropriate instructions and safety methods associated with the department they are assigned to.
Selects carton of returned merchandise from the pallet, opens with a razor knife, unpacks all books and paperwork, keeping the books and documentation together, and places it on the conveyor at the processing station by shipped from address. Uses Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process (Scan) each piece of returned merchandise by ISBN number, locate by tote number to the Bin locations and make adjustments for damaged books.
Keeps each shipped from address together on one Return Authorization Number (RA) to assign credit for the returned merchandise.
Puts returned merchandise in the correct bin location according to the transaction instruction in the tote that came from the processing station.
Removes full case quantity from the bin, shrink-wraps the case, and locates it in the rack location.
Keeps the bin locations neat and orderly at all times.
Operates shrink-wrap machine to incase correct carton quantity of books to be returned to inventory.
Brick stack returned merchandise as needed.
Separates returned merchandise that has been placed in hurt status.
Refurbishes the returned merchandise as needed.
Locates book jackets and keeps appropriate documentation.
Removes returned merchandise from hurt status to available status using WMS.
Weighs each carton and use WMS to update the Keyrec log with weights; create a Batch Record in WMS to identify each receipt by Keyrec number. Records in WMS to identify each receipt by Keyrec number.
Unpacks each carton of returned strip covers and prepares them for scanning by shipped from address and Keyrec number.
Uses Tangent machine, its software, and WMS to process (scan) each strip cover returned by ISBN and credit the correct customer for the return.
Keeps each shipped from address together on one Return Authorization Number to assign credit for the returned strip covers.
WMS - Looks up locations and retrieves order status information.
Read and select the proper size carton for volume and size of product to be shipped; and inserts invoice.
Properly positions and affixes the labels on the carton to ensure they are oriented for the system scanners.
Inspects product visually to ensure it is free of damage and the correct count before placing in the carton to be shipped.
Ensures correct placement of the books in the carton to allow the General Warehouse Employees in packing to carefully secure books with the proper amount of dunnage in order to prevent movement and protect the product while in transit.
Records the proper adjustments for short shipments on the carton.
Assists in resolving any discrepancies.
WMS - Make adjustments for damaged books, stock transfers, and put-away (return product to inventory); retrieves order status information; and look up parcels.
Conforms to all Company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook)
Complies with all established environmental, health, and safety requirements in order to minimize injuries, loss of production time, and damage.
Secondary Duties:
• Performs cycle counts as directed.
• Mark locations that are short or contain damaged books for designated short pickers to correct.
• Keep zones throughout the Pick Module stocked with all sizes of cartons
• Affixes New Titles and Laydown Stickers to cartons
• Flag set orders and author signings are identified and applied to double-walled cartons to limit damages in transit
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Short Picker - Uses rolling equipment (forklift), retrieves books, and makes inventory transfers from rack location to forward picking locations. Assists in putting away extra stock.
