The Material Handler II is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area. Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines. May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes. This position reports to the Warehouse supervisor and is part of the Shipping and Receiving department located in Pensacola, Florida and will be an on-site role. What you'll do: Physically issue material and supplies requested by internal departments, by manually pulling, climbing, pushing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), or reaching utilizing material handling equipment (i.e., dollies, ladders, forklift, and push carts.) that will be capable of performing the task in a safe manner to the user, other people, and the items being moved. Respond to internal customers' inquiries about material requests, availability of inventory assets or purchase order receipts in the time frame agreed as well as prioritizing job tasks to achieve daily work plan and any foreseen issues. This position also serves as a backup to the driver position. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate a forklift, a two-wheel hand cart, and scales. Retrieve stock to fulfill orders. Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy. Check orders for accuracy. Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to the supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product will be sent out. Place compiled/completed orders in appropriate designated areas. Monitor the movement and progress of orders to ensure timely delivery. Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling products, and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to a standard operating procedure, making a note to follow any special instructions on orders with customer-specific requests. Keep the work area clean, safe, organized, and maintained by following the 6 S's (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Load finished products/orders onto trucks. Transport stock from storage to warehouse or where needed. Load or unload material inbound or outbound. Open bales, crates, and other containers. Assist in counting physical inventory. Reports to Events Coordinator, Facilities. Duties and Responsibilities: Arrive on time daily to receive assignments from the supervisor. Collect work orders and report to work sites to accomplish tasks such as moving furniture or equipment, setting up or tearing down events, or collecting and removing trash. Operate the box truck, golf cart, dump truck, forklift, and other College vehicles. Coordinate with customers onsite concerning furniture and equipment moves and event setups. Read, interpret, and understand instructions contained in property dispositions, work orders, and job tickets.
