The Packaging Lab Technician II is also responsible for overseeing laboratory housekeeping. Job Description: The Machine Operator/Moulder Operator functions as an integral part of the Lumber Mill Production Team, and is responsible for, and has the authority for, setting up and operating a group of machines and making necessary adjustments or mechanical repairs to the machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Keep customer mill sample for reference as well as samples from beginning of most current run. Take care of necessary paperwork - time, footage shipped, footage laid out and reason for layout. Strive to meet production target of 25,000 LF per day. (2 Moulders: Weinig PowerMat P1200 and Weinig UniMat) Make sure Moulder has normal maintenance procedures performed as needed. Notify Mill Supervisor if there should be any major maintenance needed or performed. As part of the mill team, you are obligated to customers and your co-workers to perform to the highest of standards.
