Operational Readiness, Operational Governance at Scale, Governance as a Platform), including, timelines, team structure, stakeholder engagement, and success measures Strategic Leadership & Program Ownership Own the strategy and delivery of multi-phase data governance programs (6-36 months), from assessment through self-sufficient operating model, for clients with complex domain landscapes Translate high-level governance ambitions into pragmatic bundles and roadmaps (e.g., Foundation & Operational Readiness, Governance at Scale, Governance as a Platform) with clear success criteria and milestones Advise C-level and senior stakeholders on tradeoffs between accelerated and realistic timelines (e.g., “3x factor” environments), resourcing models, and scope management for governance paths, and integration with product/data lifecycle Direct comprehensive assessments of current-state governance (people, process, technology) and synthesize findings into a prioritized remediation roadmap for catalog, operating model, and culture Oversee design and rollout of data certification processes that move organizations from “no trustworthy data” to hundreds of certified assets with visible quality scores Establish and manage governance KPIs and ROI cases (e.g., reduction in time to find data, cost avoidance, risk mitigation, efficiency gains), ensuring governance value is transparent, quantified, and communicated Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), Remediation, Structure, and Adoption Lead Informatica CDGC remediation: reorganize cluttered catalogs into clean, intuitive taxonomies aligned to business domains and subdomains as well as rationalize custom workarounds Define and implement domain/subdomain structures, term hierarchies, and usage patterns which can make 2,500-10,000+ terms observable, searchable, and usable for non-technical users Design and activate CDGC policies, workflows, and controls for stewardship, approvals, as well as certification, ensuring alignment with broader governance policies and standards Drive enterprise-wide adoption of CDGC, including user segmentation, training programs, coaching for business stewards, and ongoing support to increase logins as well as active usage across domains Steward Network, Culture, and Change Build and operationalize a “core network” of 25-35 stewards for foundation phases, expanding to 75-100+ stewards at scale across all major domains Develop role profiles, onboarding plans, training curricula, and playbooks for operational stewards, including expectations for issue management, certification, and engagement with CDGC Partner with governance leadership and communications teams to shift perception of governance from optional/overhead to essential business enabler, using accelerators based on programs involving complex environments, including Financial Services organizations Mentor managers and senior consultants, building delivery capability in assessments, operating model design, CDGC implementation, stewardship training, and KPI definition Lead internal knowledge development around governance value metrics, certification patterns, and catalog design standards that can be applied across clients Required Qualifications: 12+ years of Data/Information Management Consulting experience, with at least 5-7+ years leading Data Governance programs as a Director or with steward growth from dozens to 75-100+ Experience with defining and tracking governance KPIs and ROI use cases, such as time-to-find-data reduction, data quality improvements, risk reduction, and efficiency gains Strong consulting fundamentals: structured problem solving, clear synthesis, compelling storytelling, and executive presence with senior stakeholders in large, complex organizations Demonstrated ability to operate in “slow” or complex cultures (e.g., “3x factor” environments) while maintaining momentum, managing expectations, and sequencing quick wins versus structural fixes Exceptional communication skills, including simplifying technical governance topics for business audiences as well as facilitating alignment across strategy, technical, and operational teams Position Summary This position reports to the DVP Procurement and is responsible for managing all aspects of Sigma US Meat Procurement activities, including sourcing of all global meat proteins, maintaining the Value Managed Relationship (VMR) Program with key suppliers, and monitoring protein markets and industry trends. The position reports significant trends and events to the senior management team. Essential Job Functions Manages the entire global meat protein spend for Sigma (approximately $300 million). Partners with Mexico's meat procurement group to coordinate the North American meat procurement strategy and collaborate on real-time U.S. market conditions. Manages all negotiated agreements and pricing with meat vendors and acts as the lead decision maker in pricing, vendor selection, and vendor management. Creates and manages the annual and long-term protein sourcing plan aligned with the business growth strategy, including forecasts, pricing plans, and profitability planning. Responsible for raw material reporting and supplier scorecards, managing vendor performance, recommending vendor improvements, and negotiating with new vendors when replacing underperforming ones. Evaluates, advises on enhancements, and manages the Value Managed Relationships (VMR) program, conducting top-to-top business reviews with major suppliers and leading cross-functional internal teams. Prepares reports and analysis for recommendations to the Executive Committee on budget, market conditions, pricing, and profitability. Develops and manages the Risk Management program to forecast market pricing trends and determine when to take hedging positions such as forward pricing or freezer positions. Manages supplier claims related to rejected, damaged, or non-Bar‑S‑standard product. Develops and manages the new meat procurement team. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors in Management, Business, or related field. Five-plus years of experience in a procurement role.
