Trade Desk Operations Engineer, European Hours

We are seeking a motivated Trade Desk Operations Engineer with technical aptitude and market awareness to support the operation of an automated trading system in Chicago. The qualified Trade Desk Operations Engineer will be supporting European trading hours. This position is Hybrid with some Onsite required. Company will only consider Visa transfers for H-1B holders; no new visa sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily procedures relevant to the trading system for equity and futures markets.
- Monitor and evaluate system status continuously to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and spot-check trades and displayed system values in real time.
- Step in and manage the trading system when limited staffing requires it.
- Deal with trading exceptions, such as unacknowledged orders or broken trades.
- Facilitate change management and ensure that new software and hardware function as intended.
- Identify and respond to system incidents, perform troubleshooting procedures, and escalate as necessary.
- Participate in follow-on investigation for root cause analysis of identified issues.
- Adjust for and respond to corporate action related events.
- Work with colleagues to identify and develop opportunities to enhance and improve trading system procedures.
- Add, maintain, and ensure integrity of trading system parameterization data.
- Enhance and further automate existing processes by writing scripts with accompanying reports.
- Create and maintain documentation of trading-related procedures.
- Should know how a portfolio is organized and hedged.
- Should possess an understanding of investment portfolio management and monitoring exposure.
- Should know what a Corporate Action is and be able to adjust for and respond to Corporate Action related events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline.
- At least 2 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of markets and trading.
- Proficient with UNIX/Linux and Windows.
- Proficiency in a programming language. Knowledge of Python, Ruby, and Perl is a plus.
- Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to interact with database tables.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Able to exercise sound judgment when solving or escalating problems.
- Able to work independently.
- Series 7 or 57 preferred (The successful candidate will be required to pass the Series 57 exam if not previously obtained).

Technical Operations Analyst Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of our trading systems, guaranteeing continuity and stability in our production trading environment.
- Coordinate, plan, and execute firm-wide changes within a global change management framework.
- Providing end user support to employees in Chicago corporate offices and abroad.
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware and software.
- User provisioning.
- Providing support for conference room technologies.
- Evaluating and recommending new hardware and software technologies or solutions.
- Assist in procuring, managing, and maintaining technology inventory.
- Support other key initiatives as the business dictates.
- On call coverage in a team rotation.
Qualifications
Technical Operations Analyst Qualifications:
- Need a bachelor's or associate degree, preferably in a technical area such as computer science or engineering.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong experience supporting and configuring Windows Server, Windows 11.
- Strong knowledge of Group Policy and Active Directory.
- A self-motivated personality with a passion for solving complex problems.
- Proficient in Linux.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, and related protocols.
- Passionate about technology.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
Technical Operations Analyst Preferred Qualifications:
- Intune management experience.
- Previous mobile device management experience.
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket).
- Familiar with SQL or similar relational database system.

What You'll Do
Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on specific SLP goals
Continuously monitor each child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed
Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students regarding progress
Complete essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations
Meet with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, adaptations, and interventions
Actively participate in team meetings and work collaboratively to ensure every student's success
What You'll Need
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms
Availability during school hours (8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday)
Fluency in additional languages is a plus!
