Directs and coordinates the parts functions within the Generator Division, and works in cooperation with the Service and Sales teams, to develop and maintain a satisfied and loyal customer base through excellent customer service by performing the following duties.

Personnel Management
Supervisory responsibilities (assigning and directing work) for all people assigned to the parts department. Coaches and counsels employees to assure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy. Participates in hiring and termination activities Conducts performance and salary appraisals Develops employees for future roles
Service Operation Support
Meets regularly with service management to review the parts department's performance in support of the service operation. Reviews open service issues regularly, identifying and correcting procedural issues impacting overall customer satisfaction in the service department.


Inventory Control
Reviews mandatory inventory exception reports impacting inventory values and corrects to maintain inventory accuracy. Assigns other inventory exception reports to be reviewed and corrected, and oversees the successful completion. Assists Inventory Team on inventory exception reports when requested. Investigates cycle count exceptions and adjusts inventory as needed to assure inventory accuracy. Determines root cause of inventory inaccuracies and implements corrective action.
Business and Facility Management
Reviews financial and performance reports to determine whether divisional and corporate objectives are being obtained. Participates in forecasting future business results. Identifies areas of concerns and determines corrective action. Maintains a safe and clean work environment in all parts areas of the operations, complying with EPA, OSHA and corporate regulations. Acts as a member of the supervisor team responsible for the success of the entire operation.

Education/Experience:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Overview

Attend to all parts administrative duties at the store. Manage and oversee all parts personnel on sight. Attend to and resolve all customer issues externally as well as internally.

Basic Duties

+ Oversee parts employees scheduling

+ Manage warehouse organization and employee work duties

+ Handle all parts customer issues and concerns

+ Review and manage all parts performance reports (Cores, warranty, backorders)

+ Review and oversee all warehousing logistics concerns

+ Fill in when emergencies arise in the parts area.

Qualifications

+ 5 year experience in parts operations for a major OEM

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in both office and warehouse environments. May, on a continuous basis sit at a desk for long periods of time, answer phone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. May on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75-100lbs . The wearing of approved safety equipment ( i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the office is usually low and the noise level in the warehouse may range from low to moderate. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Summary of Primary Functions :

Responsible for execution of Road Building parts strategy. Providing estimates for Parts and Service, tracking sales of Road Building items, and Road Building vendor relationships.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Customer Centric, parts fulfillment functions for Dobbs Road Building customers
  • Assist in training and development of Road Building Parts aptitude throughout the Dobbs organization
  • Advise on stocking levels and locations for all Road Building parts
  • Ensure a positive customer experience relative to Roadbuilding parts business unit
  • Manage non-OEM replacement parts / PM parts and ensure adequate stocking for all branches
  • Assist CSA’s and CPA’s in sourcing and quoting Road Building parts
  • Compile and maintain accurate list of trusted Road Building vendors
  • Assist in quoting and sourcing wear items/consumables for all branches
  • Manage OEM programs such as Bit Program, Re-Build Program and Wear-Parts Program
  • Negotiate better pricing for competitive parts quotes to help maintain margin
  • Facilitate partnerships with new Road Building vendors for competitive pricing agreements on new product offering
  • Track Road Building sales & margins and report on trends
  • Create and maintain PM and Other Maintenance quoting for CSA and product support teams.
  • Utilize the Customer Portal to actively market and sell Road Building products
  • Use internet marketplace to sell aged (non-returnable) parts inventory for all branches
  • Review parts metrics (Zero Sales, Freight Recovery, Turns, etc.) and advise on potential corrections
