Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement of solids and liquids. Under direct supervision, tasks could include all types of manual labor in cleaning and decontamination operations, vacuum projects and handling, packing, re-packing, unloading and loading containers for processing at site or transportation to appropriate facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY

Receiving/Put-Away:
· Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Input data accurately into WMS.
· Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate area.

Order Picking:
· Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
· Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.

What You'll Do:
* Is responsible for delivering the proper material on time to the various areas of the Production Line, according to the requisitions or instructions given to them.
* Prepares finished goods for transportation to the Distribution Center.
* Loads and offloads trailers and stores finished and unfinished products in the proper place.
* Counts and verifies by proper item and lot number, all materials during palletization, loading and unloading and stores all materials in the proper place.
* Assembles, weighs, and stages raw materials and packaging components needed for production and maintains proper documentation.
* Must be capable of occasionally performing proper palletization of finished or unfinished products and storing them in the proper place as designated.
* Must be capable of refueling or electrically recharging material-handling equipment and responsible for the daily maintenance, such as cleaning the equipment, checking the oil, water, battery, and lubrication of the equipment.
* Must exercise extreme caution in order to not damage other material or property while operating moving equipment and must at all times exercise extreme caution for the safety of other employees.
* Must maintain written and/or electronic records as required by management (i.e. cGMP or ISO procedures).
* Is responsible for keeping equipment and surrounding work area clean at all times.
* Under the direction and monitoring of the department supervisor, I am responsible for the training of a replacement forklift operator.
* Is responsible for moving and loading hazardous wastes, as directed by the supervisor.
* Must be capable of operating forklift trucks and other material-handling equipment for the loading and unloading of railroad cars and trucks.
* Move and arrange drums on pallets from the floor. Weigh drums and bags of raw materials, calculate usage required, and containers as needed.
* Performs necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
Required:
* HS Diploma or GED Equivalent.
* Manual dexterity and good peripheral vision required.
* Basic reading, math, writing and data entry skills.
* Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, as required.
* Ability and willingness to become forklift certified.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to organize and maintain organization.
* Ability to operate motor-driven Forklift, other material-handling equipment, and prime mover.
Preferred:
* 2+ years of previous Forklift experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or a manufacturing setting.
* Electric Sit Down, Reach, Counterbalance.
* Valid forklift certification.
* Previous experience using SAP, Oracle or other ERP/WMS systems.
* Experience working with and reading scales.
Other:
* May be expected to move, carry, and lift approximately 60 pounds. May be expected to climb heights of approximately 10 feet. Sit for long periods of time.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $21.50/hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement of solids and liquids. Under direct supervision, tasks could include all types of manual labor in cleaning and decontamination operations, vacuum projects and handling, packing, re-packing, unloading and loading containers for processing at site or transportation to appropriate facilities.
Primary Duties/responsibilities:
Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.)
Construct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers.
Use a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
Transport hazardous waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed.
Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal
guidelines.
Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of
materials to and from various locations.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Inspection material handling equipment as directed.
Assist in the loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated
sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
High School diploma or GED
Prior work experience of 3 to 6 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry in a
related position with proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Ability to communicate through reading and writing
Trained in the use of material handling equipment
Required Certification / Licenses / Training:
40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred.
