This pilot will be qualified to fly our King Airplanes. Scheduled shifts run 14/14 and service day or night trips. Minimum Required Qualifications Commercial Airplane Multi Engine Land (C-AMEL) Required. Must be willing and able to obtain ATP within 5 years of employment. Typical Duties/Job Duties * Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA for compliance, approvals, audits, and program oversight. * Lead the Restricted Airline Transport Pilot (R‑ATP) approval process and maintain ongoing compliance. * Oversee all FAA‑approved Training Course Outlines (TCOs), syllabi, and instructional records; ensure methods and procedures meet FAA requirements. * Deliver high-quality flight and ground instruction; uphold safety and professionalism across all training environments. * Monitor regulatory and policy changes; initiate timely curriculum and procedure updates with appropriate stakeholder coordination. * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper approvals for all program modifications. * Support student recruitment and represent the Commercial Aviation programs at events and outreach activities. * Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Demonstrated expertise in commercial aviation education, including flight instruction, classroom instruction, and program and student management. * In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, guidance, and approval processes related to collegiate aviation programs. * Strong curriculum oversight skills with the ability to align training content to operational needs and compliance standards. * Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills; capable of serving as a trusted point of contact with the FAA. * Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and student success. Minimum Qualifications * Ten (10) or more years of aviation experience. * FAA ratings: Commercial Pilot, Instrument rating, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII). * Documented classroom (ground) instruction experience with a record of students successfully obtaining FAA certifications. Preferred Qualifications * Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. * Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) credential highly desired. Previous experience as a qualified DoD flight lead (4-ship for Adversary Air, 2-ship for Contracted Close Air Support) in F- or A-designated aircraft. Tactical flying qualification within the last 5 years with a US Military Department, foreign DoD equivalent, or a US DoD contractor supporting Adversary Air or Contracted Close Air Support. Tactical aircraft time in support of ADAIR is defined as flight hours in any Government-owned F-, A-designation, including T-38 ADAIR, T-38 IFF, and international exchange fighter equivalent aircraft while serving as Pilot in Command, Instructor Pilot, or Stan/Eval Flight Examiner. FAA Class II medical rating. FAA Commercial and Instrument Rating. Physical Demands Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
