The Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) within the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a limited-period Policy Coordinator (PC) to provide both policy coordination and development support as we operationalize this funding opportunity. The work will be within OADS, but need to communicate across multiple programs at DHHS, including the Office of MaineCare Services and shall require experienced policymaking and coordination skills. Tasks will include policy writing, meeting facilitation, project tracking, and implementation among several project initiatives.
The successful candidate for this role must demonstrate proficiency in writing, project coordination, communication, and a basic comprehension of publicly funded supports and services. The PC will need to manage and track progress against a project plan as well as identify and manage risk. The PC will be expected to maintain relationships with DHHS leadership, other initiative coordinators, contracted entities, and stakeholders, and work closely with the Attorney General's Office.
