Technical Operator Work Schedule: Two shifts available: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Sunday-Thursday OR 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Thursday-Sunday. Training for both shifts will be 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday-Friday for 2-3 months. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances. An Ingot Operator's primary duties are to produce custom ceramic ingots through a variety of processing tasks that increase in complexity as experience and process knowledge is gained through mentorship and on the job training. The operator will interact with supervisory personnel and engineers to ensure that processes are performed in accordance with written and verbal instructions. Communication of processing parameters, non-standard observations and measurement results are essential for the success of the Ingot Operator and the operation. The basic processing operations are listed below, with the Ingot Operator performing one or more of the following: Ingot Forming Ingot Firing Ingot Diameter Lathing Ingot Length Lathing Ingot Inspection Ingot Packaging The Ingot Operator will maintain a clean, organized work area to minimize contamination potential. Changes plates for size and type of stock required for each job. As part of Make Ready, cleans and lubricates press, mixes ink, and loads press with specified type, size, and color of paper stock. Checks registration under a magnifier. Makes appropriate adjustments to ensure the output of a quality product. Must do visual inspection of boxes to insure proper box/tray is used and the graphics on the box/tray are acceptable. Watch flow of materials, i.e. Cans/bottles/boxes/trays, etc… into appropriate machine. Clear jams if necessary. Must insure proper coding is on the bottle, cans, boxes/trays, and if applicable the graphics are acceptable. Must insure closures and lids are properly applied. Verify flavor and size according to schedule. Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager. Monitor the machine while running. Check to see that all bottles, cans are packed into the box correctly. Fill glue pot's as necessary. Verify case code is correct as scheduled. Clear your machine of all products at end of each run and at the end of your shift. Must follow the work rules at all times. GMP compliance MUST be adhered to at all times. Is responsible to report any quality issue to the Lead person, QA Technician and/or Manager. Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks. Keep work area clean at all times. Shut down all equipment at end of shift if line is going down for the day. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
