Job Description This is the first step in manufacturing aluminum trailers. Must recognize and be conscious of quality, tolerance and accuracy of finished parts. Will operate ( brake press, benders, saws, belt sanders, CNC milling centers, and a shear ) in order to fill job orders. Will deburr, blow out all parts, stack and band all finished parts. Will operate and maintain set ups on special purpose machines where operations may involve several progressive machining sequences, and will give instructions on operating procedures. Requires complete knowledge of machine shop operations as acquired by on-the-job training and experience. Operation responsibility includes but are not limited to verifying blueprints, 1st piece inspections, proper measurements, safety of equipment operator is using, accurate count of parts and proper documentation on job orders. The work is repetitive and subject to processes inspection. Position Duties: Reads job order and blueprint specifications. Set up machinery for jobs to run efficiently with all parts checked to blueprint and job order. Operate machinery efficiently while maintaining 1st piece inspection on all parts, all 1st piece inspections are checked to the job order and blueprint. Demonstrate timely communication of needed materials. Responsible for the safety of the equipment he/she is using. Responsible for notifying supervisor of any and all repairs needed. Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality. Double check job order to finished part. Must be able to follow directives and procedures and complete paperwork. Ensure no material is used or moved unless it has a part number on it. All counts must be consistently accurate. Work area must be maintained as clean and organized. Work in compliance with all safety, quality and housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Required Education: A high school and/or GED is preferred. Must be able to read tape measure and follow a job order. Good math skills are required, must be able to give accurate counts. Must pass a measuring test. Must be able to read blueprints, must pass a blueprint reading test with 85% accuracy or higher. Good verbal and written communication skills are required, must have legible penmanship. Training: Requires a fundamental knowledge of machine shop operations as required by short job training and experience. What Assembly contributes to Cardinal Health Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to put together component parts to make assemblies, sub-assemblies or completed units, using standard operating procedures. Job Summary The purpose of this position is to operate, supply, sample and record movement of materials associated with production machinery and ancillary equipment in conformance to FDA, GMP's, ISO13485 standards, and finished product specifications; sample and inspect production, stage material accordingly and report production accuracy; monitor manufacturing process quality to assure that only acceptable materials are released to subsequent production processes. This is accomplished through statistical sampling and inspection which allows detection of changes in product quality so that corrective action is initiated. Clean and maintain work areas within the facility as assigned following standard operating procedures. Responsibilities * Analyze product utilizing established test methods and gages and initiate corrective action with supervisor, department technical resources, and quality assurance inspectors. * Perform requisite sampling and inspection of product in accordance with established department and plant procedures. * Responsible for quality and quantity of production from assigned machines. * Monitor machinery and processes during shift and request department technical assistance; make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimum performance of process. * Report and track all production data into the appropriate information systems. * Must be proficient with all measuring equipment i.e. micrometers, gages, etc. * Demonstrate an understanding of the lean system and the ability to control the correct location of associated Kanban tickets. * Assist/perform changeovers as required. As a Production Operator - Bond/Mask you will assemble, disassemble, bond, mask, and repair electronic assemblies in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures or methods. What a Day Looks Like: Bond and masking electronic circuit boards to class 2 and class 3 requirements in accordance with J-STD. Solder/bond and coat and install components, wires, and adhesives on PC Boards. Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings, and specifications. Assemble circuit boards in accordance with standardized processes, procedures, and methods. Work with mechanical and/or electrical assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules). Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (pwa), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications. Perform ICT and Functional testing on various products. Crimp pins, using both hand and semi-automatic crimping tools. Use heat guns to install heat shrink and/or solder splices. Strip wire using thermal, hand and semi-automatic strippers. Perform light mechanical assembly duties. Perform inspection of your work and the work of your co-workers. Record time and quantities on daily production logs and time sheets. Read and work from assembly processes, procedures, engineering drawings and specifications. Identify and document problems on assemblies and suggest solutions. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Performs other assembly duties as required.
