SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the processing of currency collections and ATM and Redemption machine replenishment, performing daily vault accountability, and balancing the currency ledgers. The Consumer/Commercial Loan Processor provides superior customer service through the timely and accurate packaging of commercial, consumer, and ag loan files. This position supports and communicates with lenders to promote efficient work flow and positive working relationships during the loan approval cycle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides administrative and operational support to lending personnel, and serves as a point of contact for customers during all stages of the loan approval process.
Orders, gathers and organizes all required supporting documentation needed to assemble a loan file in a consistent manner according to bank procedures.
Produces loan documents using current software, verifying the accuracy of the information contained within and assisting in identifying any inconsistencies with the information.
Works with system providers to utilize applications to the appropriate capacity; prepares for periodic updates to system software, and verifies that enhancements are functioning correctly.
Maintains current working knowledge of all bank loan policies and applicable regulations affecting the bank's credit practices.
Reviews loan documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and bank policies.
Maintains and tracks loan files to assure any pending or outstanding documents are addressed properly and in a timely manner.
Submits properly documented loan files to appropriate lenders.
Coordinates various projects under the guidance of the Chief Credit Officer to help advance departmental initiatives.
Produces reports as required including, but not limited to, monthly loan delinquency reporting and other information that is reviewed at a senior management or Board level.
Assists the Loss Mitigation department in meeting prescribed mortgage servicing requirements for our secondary market loans.
Provides ancillary support to the Loan Accounting area with the bank's monthly investor accounting activities related to our Freddie Mac portfolio.
Organizes periodic training activities for lenders and credit staff in order to improve performance and keep pace with industry changes.
Acts as a liaison between the processor group and loan review/credit quality in order to resolve issues, correct errors, or obtain missing documentation.
Prepares written correspondence to customers as required.
Performs post-closing functions, including processing loan advances and payments, and mailing paid notes, releases and titles on loans paid in full.
Prepares for the renewal cycle on existing loans nearing maturity.
Meets delivery deadlines and productivity targets.
Assists in the accurate collection and reporting of compliance data.
Maintains appropriate departmental files.
Protects the confidentiality of information that flows through the Credit Department.
Performs other duties and provides support in any manner requested.
Requirements
Education beyond high school is desired. Post-secondary degree in a business-related discipline is encouraged.
Relevant banking experience in a similar position is required.
High degree of organizational and multi-tasking ability.
Strong familiarity with loan documents and financial statements.
Strong computer software and data entry skills, particularly Excel and Word; the ability to quickly adapt to other specialized software applications and comfort using the internet as a research and working tool.
Strong basic math skills.
Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
Ability to work productively and independently, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail while needing limited supervisory overview.
Ability to recognize issues of significance and prioritize work.
ABOUT COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position with an expected pay range of $19.00 - $26.00. This is a best estimate of the pay range, but the hourly rate may be higher for candidates with direct experience in a loan processing role.
