Seafood processors work aboard at-sea processing vessels in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, and the Aleutian Islands to convert raw fish products into a processed, high-quality product ready for sale. The work is strenuous and sometimes hazardous, with the vessel operating in all types of weather conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sort fish by species
Tend and operate machines
Hand fillet whole fish
Inspect fish products to meet American Seafoods Company's standards of quality
Weigh, pack, label, stack and place the product into freezers
Load and unload supplies on the vessel
Clean factory equipment and perform other duties as assigned

Able to live in close shared quarters with others and able to climb in and out of bunk beds 50 inches high
Good balance/equilibrium
Able to be on-board ship for long periods, without suffering from motion sickness (that is not correctable)

The primary function of the Regional Processor is to ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by our loan officers. Responsibilities include: Gather information and take each file from pre-approval to closing. Input proper loan information into the loan origination software. Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurately verified and complies with company policy. Validate loan documents including; income, credit, appraisal, title insurance, etc. and prepare the application for submittal to underwriting. Review file documentation and make sure all items needed are requested. Order and coordinate loan documents. Meet crucial deadlines requested. Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional and other loan programs for assigned Loan Officer(s) within standard timeframes outlined in the company's Processing Service Level Agreement.
Obtain all required documentation, such as appraisal, title, escrow, verification of employment/income, asset verification, credit, insurance binders, etc.
Assist in gathering loan conditions assigned by the Underwriter that will satisfy the condition.
Prompt issuance of condition letters or needs lists to loan officers and/or borrowers. Communicate with borrower(s) directly on behalf of the Loan Officer via preferred contact method (IE email, phone, POS System etc.) as needed, to obtain Prior to Approval, Prior to Doc, Prior to Funding and Post Closing conditions as applicable.
Communicate outstanding items to Loan Officers in a timely manner and assist Loan Officers and/or Borrower(s) with understanding of the loan requirements throughout the loan process.
Assist with daily problem-solving and trouble-shooting.
Schedule and maintain weekly pipeline review meetings with assigned Loan Officers and adhere to the Processor Driven Pipeline Management Policy.
Proactively communicate and set expectations about what the process will or may potentially involve, including turnaround times for receipt of documents and impact of delays if applicable.
Effectively manage assigned loan pipeline and actively work these loan through the process to closing.
Order all required documentation, such as appraisal, title, escrow, verification of employment/income, asset verification, credit, insurance binders, etc. Follow up to ensure loan will close within allowed timeframes.
Maintain and apply up to date technical knowledge of software, programs and interfaces.
Stay up to date on loan guideline and program changes including but not limited to innovative products, new programs and investor overlays.
Issue needs list to Loan Officers and/or clients in a timely manner and assist our Loan Officers and customers with understanding of the loan requirements to guide the loan to closing.
Assess income, credit and asset documents against guidelines to ensure feasible submissions to underwriting; effectively articulate calculations and any impact/concerns. Communicate all changes in file status to underwriter.
Manage customers' expectations for internal processing timelines and provide frequent status updates. Anticipate potential issues or delays and partner with internal colleagues (as necessary) to ensure the loan moves forward for a successful transaction.
Proactively identify and resolve issues related to the loan; appropriately escalate issues as needed while maintaining personal accountability for issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
Submit files for loan closing documents within timeframes.
Provide back-up processing as necessary.
Complete 12 hours of annual training per year as outlined per company policy.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Compensation:
The base hourly range rate for this position is $19.86 - $37.26 per hour, depending on a number of factors including location and experience. If applicable, associate may be eligible for per-file incentives, commissions, bonuses or other variable earnings as determined upon hire.

Working aboard a processing vessel calls for a special kind of person as it presents various challenges, including long hours, extended time away from family and friends, shared living quarters, and unpredictable weather conditions. This demanding work environment requires not just physical strength but also mental and emotional resilience.
As a fish processor your daily duties may include things such as: operating machines, roe/surimi/fishmeal/fillet production, prepping products for packing, working in a freezer hold stacking cases, placing/removing production onto and off freezer plates, loading/unloading vessel of product and supplies, operating a forklift, factory cleanup, etc.
Requirements
You must be able to:
Lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, repeatedly
Work 12-16-hour shifts, 7 days a week in a fast-paced environment
Perform repetitive tasks that require standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, etc. for long periods of time
Work in a cold, damp environment
Ability to speak and read basic English as well as the ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions in English
Live and work aboard a vessel for up to 120 days with minimal communication with friends and family (there is Wi-Fi access available on board)
Capable of boarding and exiting the vessel independently, either by climbing a gangway or using a Jacob's ladder
Candidates should exhibit a strong level of physical fitness who can handle heavy items and tackle physically demanding tasks. This factory environment can be cold and wet, requiring endurance, frequent lifting, agility, long periods of standing, teamwork, and self-discipline. The factory operates 24 hours a day with production personnel assigned to shifts of 12-16 hours, seven days a week, throughout the duration of the contract. All team members must follow instructions and work together effectively. Basic English is essential for understanding safety and emergency protocols.
Please note that completion of a pre-employment drug test is required, along with participation in our random drug testing program as required by the US Coast Guard.
Benefits
You will earn an hourly wage, plus overtime pay, which will be paid twice a month. Additionally, upon completion of the season, you will receive a case rate bonus, which is paid 10 business days after the season has ended. Housing and meals are provided at no cost.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Responsible for Raw Processor is to maintain steady workflow of raw processing lines by performing prescribed procedures accurately and timely.
SCHEDULE:
3rd Shift
8 hours per day with possible daily overtime and during peak summer/fall production.
WAGE: Hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, with a starting range of $19.00 per hour, also included is $1.00 per hour for shift differential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May do any one of the following:
Defrost:
Unload trailers full of palletized meat using a pallet jack.
Remove frozen meat from boxes, bag and seal the individual bags of meat using the M-tec sealing machine and stack the bagged and sealed meat onto racks.
Remove fresh meat from boxes and stage the meat in tubs for slicing.
Load racks in to defrost tempering houses.
Set up and start the houses to begin the thaw process and continue to monitor the houses throughout the thawing process until the house is thawed and ready for slicing.
Responsible for unloading the houses and staging thawed meat for slicing.
Clean the racks and tempering houses with chemicals to meet SSOP and food safety standards.
Spice/Batching:
Prepare work area by assembling and setting up workstations.
Ensure that correct spices are used and properly recorded in a timely manner.
Maintain housekeeping standards and account for all inedible products.
Assist in the production of jerky/sausage by removing batches from tempering room to kitchen. Bring in the correct spices for product production and add spices following standard mixing procedures.
Stage meat to be used by removing meat from carton, making sure that all foreign material (cardboard, plastic, etc.) is removed and that all proper handling procedures are followed.
As directed, perform basic maintenance to equipment, maintain cleanliness of equipment and clean equipment as necessary.
Prepare meat samples for lab by drilling meat for fat analysis following standard A.M.I. drilling procedures and providing all necessary identification of sample (purchase order number, lot number, brand, etc.).
Continuous Line/Hanging/Screening:
Ensure proper identification of product by recording weights of tubs/totes with proper batch number and ingredient ticket weights.
Responsible for monitoring manual and continuous line workstations to ensure that each station has adequate meat supplies to ensure production flow.
Load carts with meat filled tub and bring to workstations to supply meat as needed.
Track each tub that is dumped at the workstation to ensure that employee efficiencies are accurately recorded.
Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP's and following all company safety standards.
Assist with Raw Processor 1 functions when necessary.
Assist with the sanitation of the room at the end of shift or due to a certified start up during the shift. QUALIFICATIONS:
High School (minimum)
6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
Pallet Jack experience preferred.
Familiarity with HACCP (OJT).
Understanding and compliance with all GMPs (OJT)
Understanding and compliance with all personal safety rules (OJT)
Able to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to work with people to accomplish team goals.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Responsible for Raw Processor is to maintain steady workflow of raw processing lines by performing prescribed procedures accurately and timely.
SCHEDULE:
3rd Shift
8 hours per day with possible daily overtime and during peak summer/fall production.
WAGE: Hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, with a starting range of $19.00 per hour, also included is $1.00 per hour for shift differential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May do any one of the following:
Defrost:
Unload trailers full of palletized meat using a pallet jack.
Remove frozen meat from boxes, bag and seal the individual bags of meat using the M-tec sealing machine and stack the bagged and sealed meat onto racks.
Remove fresh meat from boxes and stage the meat in tubs for slicing.
Load racks in to defrost tempering houses.
Set up and start the houses to begin the thaw process and continue to monitor the houses throughout the thawing process until the house is thawed and ready for slicing.
Responsible for unloading the houses and staging thawed meat for slicing.
Clean the racks and tempering houses with chemicals to meet SSOP and food safety standards.
Spice/Batching:
Prepare work area by assembling and setting up workstations.
Ensure that correct spices are used and properly recorded in a timely manner.
Maintain housekeeping standards and account for all inedible products.
Assist in the production of jerky/sausage by removing batches from tempering room to kitchen. Bring in the correct spices for product production and add spices following standard mixing procedures.
Stage meat to be used by removing meat from carton, making sure that all foreign material (cardboard, plastic, etc.) is removed and that all proper handling procedures are followed.
As directed, perform basic maintenance to equipment, maintain cleanliness of equipment and clean equipment as necessary.
Prepare meat samples for lab by drilling meat for fat analysis following standard A.M.I. drilling procedures and providing all necessary identification of sample (purchase order number, lot number, brand, etc.).
Continuous Line/Hanging/Screening:
Ensure proper identification of product by recording weights of tubs/totes with proper batch number and ingredient ticket weights.
Responsible for monitoring manual and continuous line workstations to ensure that each station has adequate meat supplies to ensure production flow.
Load carts with meat filled tub and bring to workstations to supply meat as needed.
Track each tub that is dumped at the workstation to ensure that employee efficiencies are accurately recorded.
Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP's and following all company safety standards.
Assist with Raw Processor 1 functions when necessary.
Assist with the sanitation of the room at the end of shift or due to a certified start up during the shift. QUALIFICATIONS:

Both hands must be capable of grabbing, holding or gripping rope, rails, equipment and vessel structures for frequent periods of time. Forceful grasping along with repetitive finger and hand use is occasional.
Applicant must also be able to sit and crawl on a limited basis, and squat, crouch, and kneed occasionally. Applicants must be able to climb up and down, safely ascend and descend ladders, work in small and confined spaces, and pass all safety test requirements.
Applicants must be able to constantly lift 20-50 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and above the shoulder. Must also be able to constantly push, pull, and carry 20-50 pounds, and on a limited basis push and pull up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision requirements for this position are that the applicant needs to have peripheral, distance and depth perception abilities. Candidate also needs the ability to determine shades, colors and shadows.
