We are looking for an *onsite* print Production Designer who is both creative and detail oriented, and has a proven background in graphic design or surface design for Consumer Products. The production designer should have a passion for decorative artwork and trend-right product design. They will partner with our in-house design team to apply existing artwork to a variety of product formats and packaging types, and develop final mechanical files for offset printing production.
Core duties will be to create production files to send to our factories, but this often involves creativity and design rather than just technical tasks. Candidate should be very organized and detail oriented, to ensure projects are completed accurately and in line with design specifications.
Position Responsibilities:
• Prepare production files from original art assets provided by design team, using Illustrator and Photoshop on a Mac platform
• Clear communication with factories to specify materials and other print details.
• Adherence to production schedules
• Maintaining organization of design assets on the server
• Color matching and correction as needed
• Proposals, photo retouching, or making product mockups as needed

A Successful FASTSIGNS Inside Sales / Graphic Designer Will:
Be the initial contact with current as well as prospective customers in our FASTSIGNS Center
Learn to prepare estimates, implement work orders and ensure timely delivery of finished orders
Enjoy being involved in daily team meetings, execute business and marketing plans and be intimately involved in the success of the FASTSIGNS Center
Work with customers in numerous ways such as email, telephone, in-person and at their place of business
Build long-lasting relationships by turning prospects into long term clients.
Prospect for new business and network for sales opportunities
Sell a unique, exciting product line that changes by the minute - completely based on customer needs and desires
Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied
Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media
Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate
Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files
Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer:
1-2 years of graphic design experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Outgoing, responsive, eager to learn and has the ability to build relationships
Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
Determine the best output method based on the customer's needs
Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more)
Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
