SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment in a GMP environment for the purpose of making clinical supplies and performing development experiments. Incumbent is also responsible for leading manufacturing activities in assigned production rooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train on, comply with, and understand all policy and procedures at Experic including Regulatory, Safety, SOPs, Work Instructions, etc.
Assist in the development of new processes in procedures under the management direction including: Becoming subject matter expert for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Adapting understanding of equipment into (write) new SOPs and work instructions and assisting in the training of additional staff on equipment specialty.
Front line troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
Perform Pharmaceutical Manufacturing activities including: Batch Documentation/Record Generation, Materials sampling, staging, dispensing, and return. Pharmaceutical Equipment and Room set-up, operation, and cleaning. Use of appropriate personal safety equipment and engineering controls. In-process inspection and sampling. Use Experic IT Platform.
Perform developmental manufacturing experiments under the direction of management.
Support investigational and quality systems activities.
Assist maintenance in the performance of preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement activities at Experic.
Carries out duties in compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines.
Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
Mechanical Aptitude, curiosity to explore complex machinery, and a desire to learn new processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Scientific Field with one (1) year of experience in Pharmaceutical or Life Science area or a High School Diploma and four (4) years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with an emphasis on working on the implementation of new equipment and processes.

Physically capable to don and wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves. PPE are essential for the health and safety of employees

Student employees will support the Theater & Dance department's productions, specifically in the areas of technical production, as required by a specific production's needs. Learn and practice a variety of skills (depending on the needs of the production) primarily including hanging and focusing lights, setting up microphones and speakers, and (as needed for the production), scenic carpentry, metalworking, scenic painting, and theatrical rigging.
Support the technology needs for campus events taking place in the Kaleidoscope (lectures, dinners, ceremonies, etc.)
Train on the theaters fly-system and operation along with other specified theatrical equipment.
Help with the set-up of both theater spaces for rehearsal and technical rehearsals.
Assist in scheduled maintenance and organization of shop and theater gear and equipment.
Requirements:
Current full-time student at Ursinus College
Must learn shop and theater safety requirements and adhere to those protocols during work calls.

Working closely with a small team in a manufacturing environment, this candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the computer's equipment for key staff members at various levels, in various departments, in the manufacturing area of the plant. This position is on 2nd shift Monday through Friday 3pm-12am
(some OT is required until 2am as needed.)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure computers in the manufacturing area are properly serviced including a scheduled preventive maintenance in order to provide optimal performance.
Provide help desk support for hardware problems to manufacturing equipment.
Answer questions about the manufacturing systems' status.
Diagnose hardware/software problems. Perform minor computer repairs
Provide appropriate level of support to guarantee Operations continuity
Audit and monitor proper functionality of newly improved system terminals
Provide training about correct operation of system terminals
Work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Engineers and the IT department in troubleshooting. Collaborate with Operations.
Qualifications

Other general operations support:

About the Role
Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently recruiting for a 2nd shift Machine Operator. This position will be based at our manufacturing facility in Bordentown, NJ. 2nd shift operating hours are 3:30pm-12am M-F.

What You Will Do
* Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the production team.
* Responsible for following all company safety rules and guidelines.
* Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignments.
* Ability to perform mechanicals adjustments on the machine.
* Produce the required amount of product within established specifications and tolerances.
* Measure finished products with precision tools, ensuring compliance with quality.
* Daily documentation and maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
* Notify supervisor of production completion and prepare the machine for next production run.
* Identify the components described in the production order and return and label any remaining components upon completion of the product.
* Keep the warehouse (and facility) clean, organized and efficiently maintained.
* Coordinate and communicate with production teams (on all shifts) about daily production plan.
* Focus on continually improving the workflow of the area.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

3.5 To make adjustments and maintain the bottle operation of the conveying, flaming, robotic and inspection systems on any IBM machine.
3.6 Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
3.7 Continuously improves the efficiency of the IBM production department by improving existing processes.
3.8 Works with the supervisor in directing activities of utilities and packers assigned to the group leader.
3.9 Responsible for the complete ownership of assigned machines and lines.
3.10 Contributes to the team effort.
3.11 Supports and adheres to all Berry safety policies.
3.12 Follows and supports all Berry GMP's.

4.3.1 Must be able to work twelve (12) hours per day with three 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute lunch. Must be able to work overtime on very short notice.
4.3.2 Must be able to work safely in the vicinity of open flames, hot plastic, oil and metal (at approximately 350-380 degrees). There is possible exposure to dust and odors from various substances such as oil, molten plastics, degreasers and cleaning solvents.
4.3.3 Noise level is usually 90dB and above and requires ear protection.
4.3.4 Must be able to work around sharp edges of machinery and moving machine components.
4.3.5 Must wear the following personal protective equipment: rubber soled/ steel toed shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves and forearm sleeves.
4.3.6 Will be required to lift on an occasional basis anywhere from 10-50 lbs. Must be able to carry approximately 50 lbs. for a distance of 100 ft twice a day on the average. Must be able to push/pull a 1000 lb. mold into position on a machine table.
4.3.7 Must be able to stand on average 10 hours a day.
4.3.8 Must be able to detect visual defects in a bottle. Must be able to clearly distinguish shades in color.
4.3.9 Must be able to hear and recognize various sounds such as emergency machine shutdown alarms.
4.3.10 Bending and twisting at a 90 ° angle will be required about 50% of the day.
4.3.11 Must be able to read and understand all work procedures and instructions.
