The **Machine Learning Engineer II** will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. These development efforts require a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines including but not limited to data management, computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and deep convolutional neural networks. Job Description This position will oversee production lines and staff to ensure timely and efficient work flow, while meeting finished product specifications. In this role, will also partner with Quality Assurance to ensure quality standards are met, and will track labor and raw product yields. Accountabilities: Communicate with Production staff and management team to ensure proper follow through on duties. Perform product inventory cycle counts as directed. Maintain accurate documentation for food safety purposes. Advise management of unsafe conditions and provide recommendations for improvement. Communicate well (both written and verbal) with management, as well as direct employees in a productive/professional manner. Assist with scheduling of work teams, and initiate short and long-term plans with Production Management. Assist with training of employees and ensure they are provided ongoing skills development and coaching, to improve job performance. Assess daily and weekly output, identify issues in productivity, and manage the allocation of people and equipment, to address day-to-day variations in demand and capacity, across assigned lines. Perform tasks as related to position of production employee when needed. Flexible-Willing to move around within department or to different shifts. Any other accountability will be discussed at the time of the interview. Will be required to stay later if needed. Minimum Skills Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc.). At least 1 year prior experience in a similar role in a production environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a production area which includes noise, equipment moving, sharp utensils, wet, and cold ( Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities. Position Scope: Working within a high-production industrial environment, the Production Operator is responsible for meeting departmental production, quality, and safety standards. Upon training within the department, the Production Operator will be responsible for independently reading and verifying the shop order and then setting up and completing the manufacturing process, which may include: printing equipment, automated equipment, small hand tools, viewing product through a microscope, and fine assembly work. PACKER - INSPECTOR Experience not necessary; training provided! Location: Sterling, MA In a Nutshell: Laddawn has manufacturing facilities located from coast to coast, which allows us to rapidly ship to our customers no matter where they are located. You'll help us inspect and package finished product that wows our customers. What you'll be doing: · Packaging bags/rolls into boxes, weighing the boxes, and keeping accurate counts in the computer system. · Performing quality control checks on product and ensuring that all products are properly labeled with a Q.C. sticker before stacking finished product. · Keeping the work area clean and clutter free: picking up scrap materials around the production lines and cutting scrap off cores. · Alerting Setup Technicians or Changeover Technicians using the light system to keep them informed of production status. Scheduling Production workers are scheduled 12 hours per day, 4 days per week, and work every other weekend. Day shift is scheduled from 8am-8pm. Night shift is scheduled from 8pm-8am.
