Job DescriptionPosition Description: Aquaspersions is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-quality water-based dispersions and emulsions. For over 50 years we have been providing manufacturers and formulators globally with our leading range of dispersions. In 2023 to support our strategy to develop our customer base in the US markets we invested in a new production facility in Broussard, Louisianna. We now require a Production Operator to join the existing production team as we grow our business. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be an important part of the production team, responsible for storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process. To be successful as a Production Operator, you should be professional with strong understanding of mechanical and chemical processes. The ideal candidate will be attentive, knowledgeable and have a desire to work with other production team members to develop best processes and products. What you will do: Ensure that products are made according to exact specifications and that final products meet safety and quality standards. Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature, and input into the database. Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes. Observing all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations. Reporting accidents, safety violations, or other concerns. Assisting in planning and improving processes and product quality. Working with other team members to complete the production process. Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear.What You Need High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with forklifts is required. Understanding of chemical process. Aptitude for mechanics. Basic computer skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Commit to working production hours (typically Monday - Friday), but may include occasional overtime, weekends, and some holidays. Work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions. Learn new skills; assist your teammates; and complete other automotive salvage & recycling tasks and objectives as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Commitment to delivering friendly, helpful, and professional customer service. General automotive mechanic understanding and application. Basic knowledge of auto parts Bilingual in English and Spanish. Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile devices. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) and complete tasks safely and accurately with little supervision. Experience using both hand tools and power tools. Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task. The Production Lead is also responsible for all department functions and performance of assigned employees on an as needed basis. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Operating a fork lift Ensuring Daily safety checks are being completed on forklifts Cycle counts (raw materials and other materials) Ensuring daily product availability for production Tracking raw material usage Other tasks assigned by manager as needed Requirements Skills/Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
