Job Overview:
This job exists to provide leadership, operational expertise, technical, mechanical, and hands-on assistance for safe operation of the Corteva Agriscience Valdosta, GA facility. The following are some key responsibilities:
Troubleshoot equipment, process and quality problems. Analyze and resolve them. Take ownership of resolution.
Take initiative by proactively identifying roadblocks to achieving the plant goals and work to resolve.
Prep and isolate equipment for maintenance. Complete Return to Operation checks. Write safe work permits.
Perform competitive work practices.
Assure compliance with all EH&S requirements related to assigned roles per plant and site policies.
Formulate individual goals which align with the plant goals and execute. Update progress quarterly.
Utilize electronic tools (e.g. electronic logbook, event and action tool, master task list, MS Outlook, etc.).
Follow applicable supporting work processes (e.g. Global Maintenance Work Process, Operate Plant Work Process, Material Flow Work Process, EH&S work process etc.).
Review and update plant operating discipline to capture best practices.
Participate in plant initiatives (e.g. involvement in teams, operating discipline improvements, work process implementation, work process tools).
Communicate role related information between shifts and day staff.
Promote an environment of teamwork while leading through example.
Ensure personal learning needs are achieved utilizing the available learning resources.
Lead or participate in Root Cause Investigations.
Participate in reviews and implementation of plant projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification Requirements:
High School/GED or equivalent.
Education/Certification Preferred:
Relevant trade school training or technical background.
2+ years of manufacturing or relevant military experience.
Basic Requirements:
Have a current, valid, United States driver's license.
Pass a drug screen, background history, and other relevant screens if job offer is received and accepted.
Read, write, and speak English.
Reliable attendance.
Work a rotating shift and/or overtime.
Ability to be regularly medically approved and fit tested for respirator use.
Basic computer proficiency.
Obtain necessary certifications as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The primary function of this position is to inspect, sort, weigh and pack fresh carrots in a timely manner.Collect, rotates, dumps and stores raw product into cull trailers, rotates stock in cold storage on rare occasion, inventories stock in cold storage, and accomplishes all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment
Will rotate through line stations every two hours or as directed.
Responsible for ensuring the use of proper packaging supplies are positioned at the assigned workstation.
Manually sort fresh carrots by size and consistency on a moving conveyer
Place carrots on a scale and check weight (1, 2, 5 lb. packages) on moving conveyer, place carrots on scale and check weight.
Manually twists the bag and uses kwik lok to close bags and place the finished bag on master-pack conveyer.
Manually obtain finished bags of product from conveyer and place into master-carton/bags/tray/IFCO according to units.
Box assembly - builds boxes by hand, grasps flattened box, shapes into box from, folds flaps down and pushes tabs into locked position, applies sticker with code date and product code
Rotate through line stations (packing, assembling boxes, rework stations) as needed directed by Assistant Supervisor or Supervisor.
Visually inspect carrots on conveyers and remove non-conforming product to rework tub.
Keep area clear, clean, and place trash/conforming product in proper receptacles.
At the end of the shift, responsible for removal of raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly clean and sanitize the production facility area/grounds and equipment
Cover and protect sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover
Apply cleaning chemicals to all machinery
Use centralized and/or portable foaming systems
Help disassemble equipment.
Apply heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars
Apply concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead
Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
PURPOSE: This position is responsible for monitoring processes, operating equipment, inspecting parts and materials, attaining production goals, and maintaining a clean workplace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report to Shift Supervisor.
Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals
Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime including clearing & restarting machinery if instructed.
Visually inspect & gauge product in production. Ensure proper labeling is completed and required.
Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
Correctly complete daily production reports & submit at shift's end, if applicable.
Set up of new order labels for daily operations.
Feed materials to machines to keep production running Including packaging product if applicable.
Read & interpret travelers and work orders
Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required.
Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions
Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;
Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and
Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.

Responsibilities
Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance according to company standards on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, and forklifts
Record the following: preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics
Adhere to safe work practices, good manufacturing practices, and participate in safe behavior observation programs
Communicate effectively when issues arise that prevent operating to company standards/procedures
Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
Perform mathematical calculations as needed
Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks
Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading them
Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency
Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times
Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other technicians
Cross-train in other areas to support operations during downtimes
Maintain your workstation in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices
Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency

Manually sort fresh carrots by size and consistency on a moving conveyer
Place carrots on a scale and check weight (1, 2, 5 lb. packages) on moving conveyer, place carrots on scale and check weight.
Manually twists the bag and uses kwik lok to close bags and place the finished bag on master-pack conveyer.
Manually obtain finished bags of product from conveyer and place into master-carton/bags/tray/IFCO according to units.
Box assembly - builds boxes by hand, grasps flattened box, shapes into box from, folds flaps down and pushes tabs into locked position, applies sticker with code date and product code
Rotate through line stations (packing, assembling boxes, rework stations) as needed directed by Assistant Supervisor or Supervisor.
Visually inspect carrots on conveyers and remove non-conforming product to rework tub.
Keep area clear, clean, and place trash/conforming product in proper receptacles.
At the end of the shift, responsible for removal of raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly clean and sanitize the production facility area/grounds and equipment
Cover and protect sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover
Apply cleaning chemicals to all machinery
Use centralized and/or portable foaming systems
Help disassemble equipment.
Apply heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars
Apply concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

You will collaborate daily with quality, engineering, and production team members as part of a high-performance manufacturing team focused on delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This is a full-time role that may require some extended hours and weekends, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision aerospace components according to production schedules.
Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.) to perform in-process and final inspections.
Measure and verify part dimensions using GD&T principles and document results accurately.
Perform machine offsets and tool changes as needed to maintain product quality.
Monitor machine performance and surface finish, reporting abnormal conditions to the Supervisor or Engineering.
Follow standardized work, routers, and control plans to maintain process consistency.
Complete production documentation, including part counts, inspection check sheets, and quality records.
Adhere to AS9100 quality procedures and contribute to root cause analysis when defects occur.
Perform basic routine maintenance such as cleaning machines, replacing coolant, and removing chips.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and company safety practices.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce scrap.
Communicate effectively with quality inspectors, programmers, engineers, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
Support team goals for productivity, on-time delivery, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience operating CNC or manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with aerospace components or working in an AS9100/ISO-certified environment.
Familiarity with CNC lathes, mill-turn centers, broaches, grinders, or other precision machining equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, or CMM data.
Basic understanding of machining processes, feeds, speeds, and tooling.
Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
Ability to collaborate effectively with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to EHS policies.
Working Conditions
Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
