Position Summary:
The Production Worker III Worker is responsible to follow work orders, work instructions/SOPs, perform duties to operate manufacturing machinery, inspect, package final product, and performs Lead Operator duties while adhering to Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices standards. Production Worker III's must also verify equipment needed prior to the start of production.
Essential Job Functions:

Following scrap escalation process.
Scan or input Pick List (Customer Order) data into packaging machine to prepare for order production.
Print Work Order Packet from computer including Work Order, Assembly Specification, Approved Label Standard, Shipper Labels, Inner Labels (where required).
Feed product into machinery, verifying that materials used are as specified on the Pick List.
Ensure that specifications are met by using PDXpert.
Ensure no debris on product and materials.
Replenish cartons, cards, PVC, production supplies and products as needed.
Adjust and fix simple jams or contact maintenance for complex problems.
Monitor the product being packaged for proper orientation, correct and centered imprint and complete seal of the package.
Place products into bags, pack bags into cartons and apply appropriate labels on cartons.
Cut off supply of product for changeover based on quantity specified on Pick List. Notify the packing operator of the upcoming changeover.
Inform the Lead of material shortages.
Proper use of PPE to clean plates following completion of the order and return the plate to storage.
Return any excess brushes to stock once the order is complete.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Dept 57 - Packaging:
Following SAI safety procedures including PPE USE.
Apply lean 5s principles.
Ability to multitask.
Following scrap escalation process.
Feed product into machinery as directed by the Lead Operator.
Ensure no debris/contamination is on the product and materials.
Apply shipper and inner package labels as necessary.
Replenish cartons, cards, literature, blisters, PVC, and lid stock as needed.
Adjust and clear simple jams or contact Line Lead for complex jams.
Monitor the quality of the product being packaged for proper orientation, correct date code, and clear complete package.
Place the correct quantity of product into bags as specified on the work order and assembly specifications.
Weight-count the product to assure the correct count. Apply the stamp to the carton and write the badge number in the appropriate location on the carton.
Education
Minimum of High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and or 3 years of experience in a robust role
Ability to complete Sunstar Departmental Training matrix and Training Checklist
