Responsibilities Review work orders and production documentation before starting tasks. Set up, operate, and monitor machinery in assigned areas such as Tower, pay-off, and take-up. Clean, maintain, and reassemble machines as needed. Monitor production quality and ensure output meets specifications. Load, replace, and splice materials to maintain continuous production. Perform routine equipment repairs and assist with maintenance tasks. Record and document production processes accurately. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, including providing direction to helpers. Support a safe and organized work environment by maintaining cleanliness and following procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in the wire and cable industry preferred, but not necessary. Ability to read and use precision tools such as micrometers and gauges. Basic math and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Job Title: Production Worker Middle | Req ID: 15407 | HR Contact: Blake SMITH | Location: Building Envelope - Bristol, CT ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize Building Envelope is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive product portfolio for commercial building performance solutions, is currently looking for a highly skilled production worker to work out of our Bristol, CT facility. The Production Worker Middle performs general duties that include, but are not limited to: Measuring bundle heights, checking board lengths and square checks. Checks for general defects in material. Communicates quality issues to pour table operators during the production run. Production Worker Middle may also assist with attaching labels and gluing slats to bundles, adjusting saws and may assist in loading of packaging machine plastic. 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday Pay: $27.58 plus a $1.00 shift differential! WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH * Machine operation with some quality assurance knowledge * Monitoring of the product and the equipment i.e. robots, gang saw, crosscut saw, trim saw, conveyors and packaging equipment * Handling and maintaining flow of materials and products according to established guidelines * Logging the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products * Operating low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment * Other duties as assigned. * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education: * High School Diploma Required Work Experience: * One to two years' experience in a shipping/warehousing operation * One to two years' experience in a manufacturing environment desired Additional Requirements: * Experience with inventory software, SAP preferred * Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
