introduction image

A quality assurance representative is a quality service professional who ensures that manufactured products, such as computers or appliances, are in compliance with industry and company standards. These individuals oversee the entire production process from start to finish, performing regular quality tests, prepare quality reports, and notifies production staff and upper management of any issues or problems in the production process. Quality assurance representatives also ensure that the staffs are properly trained by preparing training manuals and training sessions and guaranteeing that finished products meet customer expectations.

Most quality assurance representatives have an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree in business management, or a related field. However, most companies only require a high school diploma, provided the applicant has prior experience.

If you possess strong attention to detail and are interested in a career in manufacturing, a position as a quality assurance representative can be a rewarding vocation. Most quality assurance representatives can make up to $48,000 annually in the US. However, the growth rate is predicted to increase only 1% by 2028.

Pros

Working on the construction site, independently with little supervision, learning about each phase of the construction project from the ground up and best of all working with the Subcontractors for all the different trades on the project and learning from them.

Cons

The lack of communication, involvement and support from my employer a General Contractor.
