    Job DescriptionDescription: The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for routine (incoming, in-process, first article and final) QC inspection of raw materials, subassemblies and finished product. All receiving, in-process, first article and final inspections are performed in accordance with documented procedures and specifications. The QC Inspector I shall ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated, handled and maintained. The QC Inspector I documents inspection results and releases acceptable product for use. The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for performance of the following quality system functions in accordance with documented procedures: Inspection- Performing first article, receiving, in-process and final inspections in accordance with documented procedures. Assisting other personnel with inspection setups and questions. Process Control - Maintain product identification and traceability requirements throughout the inspection processes. Nonconformance Handling - Identification, documentation, evaluation, and segregation of nonconforming product pending review and disposition by the Material Review Board. Statistical Techniques - Employment of the appropriate statistical sampling techniques for inspection by attributes (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4). Requirements: This position requires the following qualifications (at a minimum): Experience performing inspections in a regulated industry such as medical device, automotive, aerospace. Adequate knowledge and understanding of the applicable quality system requirements (ISO 13485:2016, 21 CFR Part 820, etc.); Adequate knowledge and understanding of industry-standards for the sampling (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) and inspection of product; Excellent organizational and communication skills. The ability to follow directions and interpret engineering and inspection specifications, including GD&T. Experience with a variety of inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges with Optical Comparators and CMM operation being a plus. Experience with developing open inspection setups on surface plates using height gages, sine plates etc. Experience with the inspection of high polished, tumbled, sand blasted and satin brushed surface finishes is a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to solve problems. Basic computer skills using Windows operating system. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. One or more years of related experience preferred.
