Purpose

Long Description
Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues across Consumable products.

Establish and support training programs for QA technicians.
Support and continuously improve the Non-Conformance system.
Manage customer-facing issues through the Warranty System.
Issue and maintain stop-ship actions, and drive improvements to the stop-ship process.
Leverage data from quality systems to enhance visibility, streamline actions, identify trends, and improve overall quality performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Methods, Plant Engineering, R&D, and Specials to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support certification reviews and approvals.
Assist in developing and maintaining quality process control methodologies.
Utilize computers, databases, and software tools associated with the Quality Program.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years (Level I Technician) of related experience (5+ years preferred Level III Technician)
Preferred knowledge of welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools

What You Will Do
The QA Technician will support various functions and activities to include covering internal ISO audits as well as other external bodies such as NIOSH. In addition, you will:

Education & Experience Requirements

Serve as a customer documentation expertexperience with Meggitt is a strong plus.
Prepare and review PPAP, FAI, and other customer-required documentation; obtain and maintain required inspection stamps.
Conduct and interpret capability studies, including CPK calculations and related data entry.
Apply strong GD&T knowledge to inspection tasks and documentation.
Use a variety of mechanical inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and hardness testers.
Develop bubble drawings and IPD (inspection plan) documentation as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
35 years of experience as a Quality Technician in a machining and aerospace inspection environment.
Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and applications.
Proficiency with common inspection tools and measurement equipment.
Experience with customer-specific documentation and quality requirements.
Ability to analyze data, perform capability studies, and document results accurately.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Work hours will follow shop hours 40-50 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 6am 4:30pm and possible Friday hours when needed.
