This role ensures that all ingredients, in-process samples, and finished goods meet established product specifications and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in maintaining quality programs, implementing new testing procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. In this exciting role you will be responsible for: Analytical Lab * Analyze and approve incoming ingredients, in-process samples, and finished goods using established test procedures. * Implement new testing procedures and integrate them into daily operations. * Coordinate inline quality checks with Production Supervisors and the Production Manager. * Contribute to quality programs, including training personnel. * Initiate purchase requests for QC supplies and submit for approval. * Actively pursue cost reduction strategies for testing and supplies. * Conduct physical inventory of hold and rework items. * Maintain up-to-date product, raw material, and manufacturing SOPs. * Coordinate plant water testing, environmental sampling, and sanitation inspections; report results to the Quality Control Manager. * Update and write procedures based on customer specifications. * Review test results and recommend acceptance or rejection of materials and finished goods; report deviations to the Quality Control Manager. * Issue Certificates of Analysis for finished products. * Perform equipment and environmental audits as required. * Complete required reports and documentation to support manufacturing operations. Projects * Facilitate maintenance and repair of QC testing equipment. * Summarize and report on special projects; assist as assigned. Safety * Participate in Ohly Americas safety program, including safety meetings, GMP audits, and safety inspections. * Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety Plan. * Report food safety issues to authorized personnel. You should have: * Associate Degree in Science, Chemistry, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). * Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and GLPs. * Proficient in PC applications. * Strong mechanical aptitude. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. * Knowledge of fermentation, blending, spray drying, roller drying, and packaging preferred. * Experience in regulatory compliance. * Mechanical trade skills are a plus.
