Job Summary and Qualifications
Cath Lab Technicians are Cardiovascular Technologists who work in our facilities and run tests on heart health. They assist with the insertion of catheters into the heart and are responsible for measuring and administering special fluids.
What you will do in this role:
Under the general supervision of the Cath Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director, the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel, assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring and cardiac arrhythmias recognition.
Complies with principles of sterile techniques.
Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the Cath Lab Supervisor or CV Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
The Cath Lab Tech must participate in the on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes to the Cath Lab when on call.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
Two years of current experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program completion.
Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date and maintained.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred.
If a new Invasive CVT graduate, must attain credential within 1 year of eligibility date.
One year of experience in Cath lab, or equivalent clinical experience as part of educational program.
OJT with current 10 years or more of experience may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program and RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspection on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current maintenance data
Ensure that tools and equipment used to make airworthiness determinations are labeled in accordance with the manual
Perform incoming review to identify, control, segregate, and maintain all materials according to the manufacturer's requirements or standard industry practices
Ensure Part 135 and Part 121 air carrier GMM guidance is followed for maintenance, documentation, return to service and all records are complete
Perform the initial self-evaluation of work and ensure internal forms and Capability evaluations are completed accurately.
Ensure proper documentation has been completed and signoffs performed as required
Perform or witness test procedures as required by applicable work instructions, company policies, CFR's, or CMM's
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with manuals, instructions, engineering drawings, and any other applicable documentation and work instructions in accordance with regulatory requirements
Support training and development activities as needed

THE OPPORTUNITY:
To make raw material and product acceptance or rejection decisions. Instrument Maintenance

Sample Retention
Create a retain sample of every product for shipment for use if needed for further analysis.
Provide pre-shipment samples to customers (ex: Glico, Itochu,) to receive approval for shipment (as assigned).

THE OPPORTUNITY:
To make raw material and product acceptance or rejection decisions. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
* Make acceptance or rejection decisions for finished products and raw materials.
* Conduct necessary testing, including microbiology, on all products before shipment to ensure material is within specified parameters.
* Execute necessary daily testing in all areas to assist all managers and / or operators.
* Inspect sifter overs samples from the warehouse to ensure foreign objects are not in the packed product causing possible adulteration.
* Prepare reagents, standards, check samples and media, following Good Laboratory Practices, to support laboratory and plant activities.
* Monitor inventory of consumables and report needed items to supervisor to ensure there is always a sufficient supply.
* Assist in the disposal of retained line and batch samples followed by cleaning of storage containers to recycle for continued use.

* Manage and maintain laboratory supplies, instruments and equipment to provide maximum, accurate and safe output to meet data deadlines.

Sample Retention
* Create a retain sample of every product for shipment for use if needed for further analysis.
* Provide pre-shipment samples to customers (ex: Glico, Itochu,) to receive approval for shipment (as assigned).
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
