What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a Production Technician to assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies on our in-house production lines. You will build hardware that powers Helion's prototype and production fusion machines. You will have a direct impact on Helion's ability to build fusion machines and deliver clean energy to the world. As a Production Technician, you will report directly to one of our Production Supervisors at our Everett, WA location.
You Will:
* Assemble critical mechanical and electrical assemblies per engineering work instructions
* Use electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical hand tools

* Partner with a collaborative team of technicians, material handlers, and engineers to meet daily targets

Under general supervision and reporting to Quality Operations Leadership, the Quality Technician (MRB) / In-process is responsible for inspecting product and sub-assemblies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications. The role also supports the Material Review Board (MRB) process and may conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs).
Job Responsibilities:
Visually and dimensionally inspects product and sub-assemblies using measuring instruments and advanced testing equipment.
Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, technical documents.
Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports.
Operates computer systems to perform inspection tasks.
Verifies all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Perform In-Process and Final inspections for assembly processes as required
Review FAIs in accordance with AS9102
Process and identify non-conforming product and MRB paperwork for proper disposition.

POSITION SUMMARY: The QC Technician is an integral part of the Food Safety and Quality team and will function as an internal and external auditor for the facility based on company requirements. The QC technician interfaces directly with the QC Supervisor on all quality control and compliance issues and assesses compliance with quality standards and initiatives. This requires working closely with the production department. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer Cascade policies and procedures and carry out personnel objectives and programs within the Quality Assurance department.
Coordinates with Quality and Production Supervisors on various quality issues.
Conducts daily plant inspections for any GMP/Product Protection violations.
Assists production in filling out all necessary QC paperwork.
Monitor defined checks/tests to ensure product conformance on the customer-established cadence.
Perform laboratory testing according to customer specifications, including, but not limited to, weight checks, leak tests, and oxygen/headspace tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues utilizing quality tools (cause and effect, process mapping, statistical methods, etc.) to document corrective actions effectively.
Document standards in compliance with good manufacturing practices, government entities, and production plans (e.g., USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, Organic, Kosher, etc.). Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates.

Summary of Position
The Quality Technician II is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products or services within a company. This position is typically a more advanced role than Quality Technician I, requiring a higher level of expertise and experience in quality control and assurance processes. This position is for Pitman Night shift, a rotating 12-hour shift that runs 6pm-6am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods
Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
Proposing improvements to the production process
Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet standards
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs
Perform testing at various stages on the manufacturing line
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
Determining the root causes of product defects and scrap
Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
Perform quality controls following the Work Instructions (WI's) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
Suggest improvements of the WI's in order to reduce scraps and improve the performance of the finished product.
Improve the capacity for in-depth analysis and improvement of the process.
Continually support the Production staff on WI's, quality and process issues in cooperation with Management.
Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished product as required.
Utilize and maintain the supplied instruments of measurement according to WI and safety standards.
Monitor and suggest improvements to Management on the production recipes for the various steps of the process.
Monitor and audit operations, suggesting improvements to the tools of quality control used in the production line
Provide hourly reports to management via email
