A day in the role
You start your shift by preparing the lab: verifying calibrations, reviewing test plans, and setting up equipment. Over the course of the day, you:
Perform internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic inspections on various cylinder types and sizes.
Run burst, volumetric, and proof tests to confirm integrity and compliance.
Carry out titrations and calibrations, ensuring instruments are accurate.
Complete all lab work and paperwork with thorough, traceable records.
Operate the real-time x-ray booth (where applicable) to evaluate internal features.
Obtain samples using a band saw or plasma torch; prepare bend test, macro sample, and tensile specimens with a belt sander.
Assist with other duties as assigned, collaborating with production and quality teammates.
Schedule
Must be flexible for assigned shift. This is an off shift role.

Essential Functions:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, to following:
1. Chemical Lab (Lab Testing):
Perform analysis of finishing solutions (based on laboratory schedule);
Understand and execute wet chemical analysis and calculations according to procedure;
Understand and execute Corrosion Testing, including chamber operating conditions and reports;
Understand and execute Hull Cell testing as it relates to tank additions;
Use of laboratory information management software (LIMS);
Create add sheets for chemical name/location/quantities based on solution analysis;
Maintain and requisition chemical inventory needs for the lab through the lab manager;
Understand PPE requirements;
Communicate to supervisors, managers, and operators of chemical needs;

Small Scale tank side adjustments based on analysis when necessary;

Manual Additions of neutralizing chemicals/polymer mixing/antifoam adjustments;
Respond to alarms to the pretreatment system;
Monitor water appearance;
Execute Environmental testing using photo spectrometer to monitor pretreatment
Maintain roll off container as F006 Sludge;
Test boiler discharge totes, pretreatment waters, and other spent chemicals for pretreatment processing.
Understand PPE requirement for appropriate use of respirator.
Safety and Environmental Compliance Support (General/All Areas):
Light maintenance of laboratory equipment;

**Responsibilities**
1.0 **JOB DESCRIPTION:**
This position involves working in a self-directed team environment to provide support to the product test (PT Lab) teams. The primary responsibility of an individual working in this position is to conduct functional performance tests of molded plastic closure systems, and to then summarize and prepare written reports of the test results. The testing is accomplished through the use of mechanical tools and test equipment, as well as, manual manipulation of the closure systems. The test evaluation data is collected and entered into a PC Spreadsheet software is used to organize, analyze, and report the data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
THIS JOB PARTICIPATES, SUPPORTS AND/OR LEADS ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PLANT QUALITY ISSUES AND IMPROVEMENTS.
* Daily communication with the plant schedulers, production and shipping teams to better meet customers' demand
* Ensure that the technicians have been properly trained on test methods and/or procedures
* Mentoring and monitoring the development of the Product Quality team members
* Implementing strategies to increase the engagement and empowerment of Product Quality team members
* Leading the Quality Lab High Performance Team and participating in process improvement initiatives throughout the plant
* Ability to travel (less than 10%)

Quality control technician job in North East, PA
We are currently seeking an Entry Level Quality Control Inspector to join our team on 2nd Shift (2:00PM to 10:30PM). This position is responsible for ensuring processes are followed per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all manufactured products.
Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring of production processes
Conducts destructive and non-destructive testing
Provides documentation and reporting
Follows and enforces all safety policies and SOP's
Must be dependable and punctual
Other quality control duties as required
