This role works under the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials and products to ensure all quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements are met. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate documentation while preventing nonconforming parts from reaching customers.
Responsibilities
• Operate measuring equipment including CMM and manual tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for flaws, defects, and deviations from prints
• Verify First Article procedures, perform dimensional checks, and confirm material certifications
• Keep accurate logs of material certifications and weld personnel qualifications
• Document inspection results and attach all required documentation in the ERP system
• Initiate and document corrective action plans when deviations are identified
• Serve as the final approval authority for parts being shipped to customers
• Ensure no product is approved for shipment unless all quality metrics are met
