Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

LOCATION: Champaign, IL (Must reside w/in 50 miles) Anticipated # of Tests/Year: 20-30 JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for sample collection from athletes. Tasks performed by the Doping Control Officer (DCO) include preparation for, execution of and post-collection administration as it relates to Doping Control both at events and in the out-of-competition setting. DCOs are the field facing representatives of USADA. The primary objective of the DCO is to conduct Doping Control throughout the United States, under direction of the Doping Control Operations team, for Olympic, Paralympic, and Client Services testing teams, in support of USADA's mission and vision. The DCO works with the HQ team to uphold USADA's goals of creating and maintaining a fair and healthy environment for all athletes. The role will include both local and national travel to conduct Doping Control assignments. The following job expectations, responsibilities, and qualifications apply to both the DCO I and DCO II positions, however, in order to qualify for a DCO II level, one must have a valid phlebotomy credential in good standing, as further outlined below. A DCO II is able to serve as a doping control officer that can draw blood.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct sample collection sessions in support of the testing programs for the Olympic/Paralympic, and Client Services testing teams, as well as on behalf of other agencies, when requested by USADA.
Accept, plan and manage doping control assignments, in accordance with the minimum requirements of the WADA/International Standards, and any minimum criteria established by USADA.
Execute logistics aspects as they relate to the doping control process to facilitate successful completion of missions.
Conduct doping control, including processing of Samples, in accordance with USADA's protocols and procedures, and in accordance with the WADA Code/International Standards.
Recruit and onboard independent contractors to serve in the capacity of a Chaperone*. *(
Chaperones may be required in the event the athlete is a minor and/or if the gender of the DCO is not the same as the gender of the athlete being tested
)
Witness sample collection or overseeing the witnessing of the sample collection process.
Travel (car, plane, train etc.) to various locations to perform sample collections (by the most economical route).
Ensure accurate documentation/completion of the doping control process.
Ship and submit processed Samples to the specified WADA certified laboratory.
Assist in the onboarding and training of new doping control officers.
Accountable to the most current version(s) of the DCO Manual, sample collection. documentation and other training resources.
Participate in DCO evaluation and support program, continuing education and re-accreditation.
Ensure adequate control of document, record and sample collection equipment.
Schedule and manage all travel, as well as associated expense reports.
Provide witness testimony in Legal cases, such as whereabout failures, other Anti-Doping Rule Violations.
Enforce infection control processes at all times that you are working with equipment or athletes.

COMPENSATION & TIME COMMITMENT:
Compensation is on a per-test basis(piece rate) for out-of-competition (OOC) missions, with compensation typically ranging from $130 to $180 per test dependent on the test parameters. OOC test sessions can vary in length, but generally take 1 to 2 hours for successful completion.
In Competition (event) testing is paid at a daily flat rate, typically at $250 per day.
Onboarding is anticipated to begin in December/January with a more significant time commitment up front for training. Expect a time commitment of 24-30 hours of time during the first 60 days of onboarding. After that it should only be 2-3 hours of training and updates per quarter, plus the necessary time to complete test assignments.
Compensation: $100.00 - $250.00 per day

**Primary Job Functions**
+ Support the QC lab safety program and help facilitate ADM safety initiatives
+ Facilitate continuous improvement programs and efforts
+ Train, lead, and develop laboratory technicians in all aspects of in-process and finished product testing

+ Assist in review and optimization of analytical testing schedules and models for both internal and external testing
+ Assist in root-cause analyses for quality and food safety non-compliance
+ Demonstrate ability to work through situations involving product quality logically while involving the appropriate personnel as necessary
+ Leadership: provide both positive and negative feedback, sets good example for the technicians. Holding technicians accountable for their work and behavior.

**Job Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology (or other relevant field) preferred
+ QA/QC experience preferred

Qualifications:

13. Creates and maintains PM part list for consumable parts and repair parts used during routine PM process
14. Works with outside vendors on the repair and improvement of assembly equipment, obtains competitive quotes, creates project plans, and oversees implementation to ensure their completion within the budget, timeline, and requirements outlined in the project plans
15. Assists Manufacturing Engineering with the creation of Assembly Consolidation Plan, and evaluates and updates the plan with the Manager - Manufacturing Engineering on a quarterly basis
16. Works with the Manufacturing Engineers to help provide resources to complete the line consolidation in accordance with the timeline and information provided in the Manufacturing Engineers' micro-schedule
17. Create and maintains library of SOS's for Standard equipment troubleshooting and repair procedures
18. Works with production and engineering management in Assembly to develop/update the skill level evaluation process for the assembly technicians, and to create a training plan to elevate their skill level
19. Mentors and/or coaches the assembly technicians, provides training, and evaluates their skill level and capabilities for classification advancements

What you will do:
The Lab Technician performs microbial and chemical analysis of milk, raw cream, condensed skim and ice cream; other testing to include milk components, sensory evaluation, antibiotics, added water, sediments and drinking water. Performs data entry of information into NAV and occasional correspondence via email.
Here's a day in the life:
* May perform the following testing using wet chemistry or rapid analysis equipment depending upon the daily schedule: Microbial and chemical analysis of milk or ice cream.
* Other testing may include sensory evaluation, antibiotics, added water, or sediment.
* Assists with descriptive sensory analysis, statistical analysis and writes technical briefs.
* Enters information into specialized database i.e. MS Navision (NAV) as needed.
* Performs all other duties as assigned as needed.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
* Must be computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. SharePoint is a plus.
* Experience with specialized database i.e. ERP systems such as NAV or Navision is preferred.
* Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Must be able to prioritize work. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Bachelor's degree in dairy science or related field
* 1+ experience in the dairy sensory or working lab is preferred
* Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

Salary Information:
This is an hourly position with a starting wage of $22.81.
Working conditions:
Laboratory: Shared workstations including testing equipment and computer terminals. Generally quiet, temperature controlled, well lighted. May include walking on uneven, slippery surfaces and encountering forklift traffic. Requires standing majority of shift, working with chemicals, walking on uneven, slippery surfaces, stooping, bending and crouching and climbing stairs and ladders. Duties may include repetitive motion of hands and lifting up to 35 pounds. Standing 50%, Sitting 25%, Walking 10%, Lifting 10%, and Climbing 5%.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician Lv3 Schedule: Monday through Friday 3rd shift from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM CST. The Laboratory Technician III will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams.
Testing performed for routine analysis of in-process and final product testing, checking and monitoring instrumentation performance.
In this role, you will conduct testing as well as document results of tests into databases and communication test results verbally and in writing.
Use safe laboratory practices to protect self and others, checking proper functioning of stations, routinely attending safety meetings, and performing preventive maintenance and calibration of complex standard equipment and instruments.
Support trials and experiments under the direction of more senior team members.
Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select corrective steps.
Assist with the evaluation and interpretation of highly complex data, identifying problems with atypical test results consulting with senior-level personnel.
Keep laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and management ISO 17025 accreditations or standards Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience within a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
