The employee in this position will be responsible for the analysis of a wide range of samples submitted by the Yazoo City Complex to ensure they meet quality specifications. These include in process samples, raw products, and finished products. The employee will also perform routine analysis on environmental samples, quality control and calibration of laboratory instrumentation, and data entry. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and log samples into LIMS system Perform Analytical Chemistry testing as required Prepare Reports of Analytical Chemistry Results Check, Calibrate, and Maintain Laboratory Equipment SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE: Bachelor's degree in chemistry from an A.C.S. accredited chemistry program is preferred. Bachelor's Degree in other physical science disciplines will be considered if strong evidence of laboratory analytical chemistry skill is demonstrated Minimum of 1 year of Analytical Chemistry laboratory experience preferred Experience with ICP, UV-VIS, GC, IC, and FT-IR, is valuable Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Position Summary: AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Pascagoula, MS that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry. The QA/QC Structural Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all structural fabrication, assembly, and welding activities within the shipyard comply with project specifications, shipbuilding standards, and applicable codes. Essential Functions: Perform inspections of structural components and assemblies to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and welding procedures. Monitor welding activities, fit-up, and fabrication processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and applicable codes (NAVSEA, ABS, AWS, etc.). Conduct dimensional inspections and verify proper alignment and structural integrity. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality plans. Document inspection results accurately and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when necessary. Work closely with production, engineering, and welding personnel to resolve quality issues. Perform visual weld inspections and coordinate with third-party inspectors for non-destructive testing (NDT) as required. Ensure proper traceability of materials and maintain up-to-date inspection records and reports. Participate in quality audits, pre-outfitting inspections, and final walk-throughs. Enforce shipyard safety policies and promote quality awareness among production teams.. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or quality control preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of QA/QC inspection experience in a shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, shipbuilding processes, and welding standards. Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (AWS D1.1, NAVSEA, ABS, etc.). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation software. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

All conforming products receive a green tag, all nonconforming products requiring engineering approval receive a red tag. * Check red tagged members after they are repaired to insure that they conform to Engineering's requirements. * All non-conformances for engineering approval are to be drawn up and submitted in writing.
