The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the quality of metal parts and components throughout the manufacturing process. This includes assessing materials, processes, and final products to verify compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing: Inspect incoming raw materials (metals) to ensure they meet quality standards. Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and mechanical tests on parts at various stages of production. Conduct surface and finish inspections to ensure quality in metal parts (e.g., checking for defects like cracks, dents, or rust). Test for hardness, tensile strength, and other material properties using industry-standard equipment. Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and other precision instruments. Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions in a clear and timely manner. Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting quality issues, potential risks, and improvement areas. Skills & Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or a related field is preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: Center buggy on inspection frame. Reset yardage clock at cut seams. Center cloth on roll up rolls. Lines or pattern must be straight across rolls. Put end of cloth in flap on tube to keep cloth from bowing when roll is started up and to make roll tighter. Check piece number on roll and apply matching hand tag. Write in gross yards, allowance yards. Check cloth for bow and bias also check width of cloth. Assure both edges of fabric are running straight. Check finish codes that call for stain resistant finish to be sure it has been applied. Write on tabs reasons rolls are being sent to regrade table. Check coating to assure it is the same throughout the roll. Apply appropriate sticker to roll if being routed anywhere other than shipping.

Job Description We are seeking a Quality Inspector with experience in Powder Coating and E-Coating processes to ensure the quality of coated metal parts. The role includes inspecting surface finishes, measuring coating thickness, detecting defects, and ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Inspect coated parts for defects such as runs, sags, bubbles, cracks, or uneven coverage. Measure coating thickness, adhesion, and finish quality using industry-standard tools. Verify surface preparation and pre-treatment before coating processes. Record inspection results, report non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain consistent coating quality. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in coatings or quality control preferred. 1+ years of experience in coating quality inspection (Powder Coat and/or E-Coat).
