Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Knowledge of and/or commitment to learn the following responsibilities: * Ensure quality of manufactured goods * Inspect finished goods * Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to production * Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies * Perform quick visual inspections * Perform complex tests using instruments and equipment * Test, measure, and analyze products * Take samples for testing * Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process * Record pass/fail grade of products * Produce detailed reports * Comply with various ISO operating procedures, work instructions * Observe dials, gauges and indicators to make sure that a machine is working properly * Count numbers of products tested or inspected * Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents * RMA - issuing and processing * Responsible for final inspection and signoff, and will stamp "OK-Lead" Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in quality inspecting. Job Summary: Facilitate and lead activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of production, calibration and customer claims by performing the following duties: Responsibilities: * Improve, develop and initiate standards and methods for examination, inspection, measurement and testing of material used to manufacture product * Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of product based on documented company specifications (i.e. drawing, procedure, work instructions, etc.) * Aid in coaching and understanding of blueprint reading. Participate and/or lead in 8D or similar problem-solving methodologies * Perform setups of calibrated equipment, follow calibration procedures and technical specification drawings to validate product conformance * Investigate/troubleshoot internal and external customer complaints. Maintain records, certifications and documentation for completed inspections * Disposition material and coordinate with suppliers, purchasing and sourcing teams on supplied material to resolve a wide range of situations * Provide tactical quality support to operations. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees * Recommends improved EH&S and Quality Improvement practices. Essential Job Functions: The primary responsibilities of the FuelGuard Service Technician will include (but are not limited to): Operate and maintain mobile Fuel Filtration equipment (company truck with trailer attached). Ability to pull 2" hoses full of fluid in lengths of varying from 16' to 50', drop them down 16' or more in a tank and move them around to sweep the bottom of the tank. Know how to operate electric generators or compressors and pumps. Ability to pull a STP that consists o f a motor head, up to 16' feed pipe with a Motor to the bottom which weighs approx. 70 lbs. needs to be removed and placed to the side during cleanings. This will be done with a helper. Effectively analyzes problem situations pertaining to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommends to customer actions necessary to correct situation. Observes, analyzes, and determines corrective course of action for service and repair of customer equipment. Performs necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner. Opens and closes work orders with Dispatch, provides service repair narratives (written and verbal) for customer, and submits paperwork for time worked and repairs completed in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
