Essential Functions
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Manage and maintain the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) to meet internal, customer, and third-party audit requirements.
Oversee daily QA operations including product testing, process verification, and documentation review.
Lead and coordinate internal, customer, and regulatory audits (FDA, USDA, State, GFSI).
Investigate non-conformances, implement root cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Ensure compliance with labeling, allergen control, and traceability requirements.
Maintain accurate and complete quality and production records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Food Safety & HACCP
Serve as the plant's PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual).
Oversee implementation, verification, and validation of food safety programs including HACCP, FSMA Preventive Controls, environmental monitoring, and supplier verification.
Lead the Food Safety Team and ensure effective communication of food safety objectives across departments.
Monitor trends in microbiological results, environmental swabs, and product testing to proactively identify risks.
Leadership & Training
Develop and deliver employee training on GMPs, food safety, allergen control, sanitation, and quality awareness.
Promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to ensure alignment with quality objectives.

Work Environment
This job operates in a plant environment and office. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Exposed to extreme temperature variations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are approximately 60% active and 40% sedentary work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to perform final inspections on railcars to ensure the required work is completed and in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The QC Inspector will also support the production team with other quality initiatives as needed.
Shift: 10:00pm-6:30am, Monday - Friday
Job Requirements:
* Perform inspections of the final product to assess the quality of work performed and compliance to company standards using checklists, reports, forms, procedures, hand tools, gauges, and test instruments.
* Work with production to identify and plan for the day's shipments to ensure verifications and inspections are made in a timely manner.
* Ability to use railroad gauges, testing techniques, and test equipment necessary for railcar inspections.
* Report adverse and/or non-compliant items to the responsible supervisor and QA Manager and follows-up to confirm that remedies have been put in place on items before the car is released to subsequent processes/stages.
* Communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
* Ability to instruct employees on proper railcar maintenance activities using established procedures and training materials.
* Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms. Verifies cars are properly secured and identified prior to releasing.

Prepare and create inspection documents such as written description of inspection results including deviation from engineering specification.
Manage and assigned inspection priorities based the customer PO due dates.
All shop floor and suppliers originated non-conformance (NCMR log) to be written by the Quality Control Inspector I and II for the product/processes, except for those written by QM or QA.
Assists QA's with identifying nonconforming conditions that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assembly or incoming inspection, audits and preparing inspection plans such as creating inspection documents and routing, updating inspection documents and routing, and data collection and root cause analysis investigations.
Provides general support of QA's including communication, Corrective Action Request processing, product evaluation, and sorting activities under exceptional circumstances, and interfacing with other team members as necessary to complete assigned tasks in support of continuous improvement initiatives using A3, 8D, statistical studies.
Participates and supports problem solving activities such as Fishbone, 5-Why, Fault-tree, etc.
Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection process.
Use calipers, micrometers, HI-POT tester, continuity test board, thread gauges, height gauges, gauge blocks, tape ruler, steel ruler and other related inspection equipment to perform the work.
Prepare inspection reports, Certificate of Conformance, and assist with FAI (First Article Inspection) reports and customer certification requirements.
Communicate project status and quality challenges with department managers/leads.
Guide less experience inspectors, providing solutions and maintaining rigorous quality control procedures.
Support production teams in adhering to ISO 9001 processes.
Participate in audits and compliance projects as assigned.
