Dress Code:
o Fitted trousers or jeans at ankle length are required. Trousers and jeans must be in good condition. They cannot be overly faded or worn, stained, discolored, torn, patched, ripped, or frayed.

o Plain T-shirts or T-shirts with non-offensive graphics are acceptable. Shirts must be neatly tucked into trousers for a neat, professional uniform appearance and for safety reasons.
o Belts must have minimal metal exposed and all metal areas must be taped and/or covered.
o Shoulder length hair or longer must be pulled back and secured away from the face or in a ponytail.
o To ensure safety, flowing beards must also be secured.
o All jewelry (i.e. eyebrow or nose piercings, etc.) must be removed from the facial area prior to reporting to work.
o Only stud-style earrings will be permitted and must be limited to a maximum of two earrings per ear.
o No long fingernails, this is for safety. Fingernails should not extend the tip of the finger.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTECHNICAL / CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

The QA Technician will report any defects and make recommendations for improvements. The Quality Assurance department of the company aims to stop wasteful production of poor quality products and helps to ensure that customers do not receive malfunctioning products. The Quality Assurance technician monitors the operation to ensure product is manufactured and handled properly (Sanitation Operations & GMP's).
Position Duties/ Responsibilities:

**Job Description:
**
Supporting incoming, in-process and final inspections including customer source inspections.
Ensuring quality at a production line level by incorporating spot-inspection, sampling, 1st-piece verification and 100% inspection as required.
Verifying compliance of in-process material against Customer and Industry Standards
Ensuring documentation is accurately recorded and collected.
Identifies defects, deviations from specifications, and non-compliance issues, and collaborates the issues with Quality and Engineering team.
Investigate root causes of non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Supporting first-piece verification runs with accompanying documents.
Documenting non-conformities to the process and specifications
Initiating regular quality line-audits to ensure all documentation, consumables, and tooling are within check.
Advocating proper ESD, PPE, and FOD prevention, calibration, and ISO compliance verifications.
Operating appropriate inspection equipment
**Required Qualifications:
**
3-5 years of experience in quality assurance of electro-mechanical, bare PCB, mechanical Enclosures inspection in a manufacturing environment
Experience with MMIC technology (amplifiers, attenuators, filters, switches, etc)
Physically able to spend up to 8 hours a day using a microscope.
Familiarity with IPC Industry Standards
High-School Diploma
**Preferred Qualifications:
**
J-STD-001 Class 3 and/or IPC 610 certified
Experience working in an ISO-9001 and/or AS9100 Quality System environment
Ability to communicate openly and effectively to provide real-time feedback
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for a Quality Inspector - Grainsize and MCL to be based in Columbus, GA.
The shift schedule is AWW2: Fri-Sun 7pm-7am.
Mech Testing:
* Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
* Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
* Sort priorities as needed
* Operate multiple machines for Specimen testing
* Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
* Log testing data in UGA
* Maintain required log books
Grainsize:
* Perform internal and external grainsize operations on parts
* Follow blueprints, Work Instructions and GBMOP to mark locations accurately
* Utilize different chemicals for the etching process
* Prepare specimens by operating different equipment and polishing methods
* Use Solumina and UGA for data recording
* Perform grainsize readings on the microscope
Inspection:
* Receive specimens from shop
* Measure specimens on shadow graph and compare to given specifications
* Prioritize based on specified priorities
* Move specimens to test in UGA
* Daily setups and checks of shadow graph
* Create turnback as needed
Additional responsibilities:
* Perform 6s each shift
* Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
* Complete all training within the expected time given
Qualifications You Must Have:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required.
* Familiar with blueprints.
Qualifications We Value:

Verify electronic product check sheets are filled and saved properly.
Manual gage check for KPC items and record data for X bar R Charts (future item).
One piece manual gage check each line every shift.
Visual check for product characteristics which are not checked by CMM or hard gage.
Verify Tool change check sheets.
Verify changeover check sheets.
Verify FMEA parts are being used on line (perform surprise audits)
Support production with parts that are in vicinity of lines to ensure they are correctly dispositioned and tagged (scrap, Quality Market, shipping, rework).
Provide timely feedback on issues before parts leave the line.
Provide daily electronic report of line activity.
Audit outgoing parts prior to shipping using checklists for housing and carrier.
Label bins if parts do not meet quality standards.
Provide timely feedback to production and the work center immediately for correction.
Provide summary of parts being shipped and parts inspected using electronic spreadsheet. Email summary daily.
Ensure that bins have the correct labels and part certifications.
Support production ensuring parts are shipped on time, and with correct quantities according to production schedule per production control.
Create awareness of parts on production floor that are not labeled, or properly dispositioned. Provide support and feedback to Production.
Qualifications
Knowledge of production processes, quality requirements, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturer of products.
Manufacturing / quality experience minimum of 1 years
In depth understanding on key characteristics for housing and carriers.
Technical Competencies:
Reading comprehension and math / analytical skills are a plus
Proficient in computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point, e-mail, etc.)
