**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Working in line with Cupertino's core values, the person in this role will work closely with manufacturing on first piece, in-process, and final inspection. Will monitor supply base and in-house processes for product conformance. Will issue, track, and verify corrective actions requested from internal or customer, and issued to our supply base.
The role involves developing an Equipment Log using various forms, one-lines, drawings, BOMs, etc., and identifying OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment to ensure its proper documentation. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of proper OFCI, maintaining a tracking document, and coordinating with Materials, Quality, Production, and Project Management groups upon receipt. You will act as a liaison to the project management group to ensure clients are informed about what has and hasn't been received, prepare receiving reports, and coordinate with the NETA testing group to prioritize their testing sequence. Additionally, the position involves completing clients' prescribed notification systems such as Procore, ACC, BIM, etc., tracking equipment through the assembly process to ensure proper usage, and ensuring that equipment will work in the process as designed (e.g., stub-ups, openings). A key expectation is to be a team player and professionally vocal as issues arise.

REQUIRED:
Statistical Techniques including: General Concepts (sampling, distributions, etc) ,Calculations (CpK, PpK, PPM, etc) and Control Charts.
Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
Reading and Interpretation of technical drawings (practical application, GD&T)
Inspection concepts, techniques and processes (use of methodologies and equipment)
Audits including: Audit Types, Audit Components, and Tools and Techniques.
Knowledge of basic computer skills for data entry and to operate testing equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions utilized to assemble HVAC units.
Ability to properly complete/audit assembly related documentation including First Piece Inspection form, deviations, quality alerts and red tag process.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
PREFERRED:
ASQ certified Quality Inspector with knowledge of 5S and one piece flow.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment (>3 years) and/or some college or training.
Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma principles or advanced manufacturing experience.
Previous experience with sheet metal, electronic and plastic components.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent.
Intermediate reading and math skills

The budgeted range for this role is $18 USD - $22 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the desired level of experience for the position. Your role at Baxter
The Quality Technician will primarily support Laboratory operations at the Round Lake Manufacturing facility in Round Lake, IL. This position encompasses testing support for pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) through all stages of the manufacturing process including incoming raw materials, in-process samples and finished product and includes facility environmental and critical systems monitoring.
The shift for this position is a day shift 6am-6:30pm
What you'll be doing
Perform visual inspection testing on final products. Work under minimum supervision.
Proactively and collaboratively connect with peers and management to ensure awareness of progress and issues; recommend solutions when issues arise.
Use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems (i.e. LIMS) to collect and record data.
Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents; stock supplies as necessary.
Perform routine preventative maintenance activities.
Perform biohazardous waste disposal.
Maintain a clean, safe and organized lab area and perform regular laboratory housekeeping activities.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, QSR and cGMP regulations.
Follow, understand and align with Baxter SOP's and policies on cGMP's and safety.
Contribute to other laboratory tasks and projects as assigned.
Will work in both Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities as needed.
What you'll bring
High School diploma/GED required & 2-3 years laboratory experience preferred.
Must not be allergic to Penicillin, Cephalosporins, or their related products and /or materials.
Visual acuity 20/25 Near Vision with or without corrective vision required
Must not be color blind.
Ability to meet requirements for performing visual inspection activities.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude in a highly dynamic environment.
Occasional off-shift and weekend work required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Background knowledge in basic laboratory principles is preferred.
