The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections throughout the production process to ensure all materials, components, and finished products meet quality standards. Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other standard inspection equipment. Follow all Quality Control procedures and test plans as defined. Inspect, evaluate, and document customer returns. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company policies. Complete assignments and tasks as directed by Quality Management. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in Quality Control and/or Manufacturing is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect and document high volumes of product accurately. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities. Ability to operate basic inspection and measuring devices effectively. Comfortable working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Willingness and ability to train on First Shift before moving to Second Shift. As Saab, Inc. is growing in East Syracuse, NY, we are seeking a Senior Quality Inspector, In-Process Inspection to: Authorize assembly process completion and support the build team with in-process inspections during the build process. Validate visually and dimensionally that the product meets requirements compared to engineering drawings. Inspect for defects in surfaces, fasteners, sealant, paint, and testing. Compile technical data and reports to provide feedback on final inspection results and recommended corrective actions. Develop deviation reports and represent quality at the Material Review Board. Be responsible for non-conforming material processes and procedures. Deliver high level of workmanship in inspection processes for structural assembly and system installations. Experienced in quality management systems and become a subject matter expert in the company management system. Participate in tooling validation and application to meet product requirements in quality and efficiencies. Develop standardization for working procedures for high repeatability. Compensation Range: $28.08-$33.70 per hour The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience: High school degree or equivalent required. Technical degree or certification in the field of electro/mechanical assembly, mechanics, or maintenance is preferred. 5+ years of qualified inspection experience in defense manufacturing. Experience with ISO/AS9100 and highly standardized processes. Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team. Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings and specifications in written and digital format required. Ability to execute the appropriate working methods and select the right tools to meet the right level of quality and efficiency. Ability to work with standardized procedures for high repeatability in a highly advanced and connected environment. Excellent communication and team working skills. Physical Requirements: Must be self-mobile and able to stand for extended periods. Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, bending, stooping, walking, climbing, reaching during a normal workday. Ability to perform repetitive motions (such as lifting or assembly of parts) including the use of hand held power tools. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, and to receive ordinary information and directives from Production Supervisors and management as required.
